With this sudden cold snap some of you may be using your dryer for the first time in a while. Remember to clean out the lint filter after every load.

Book a safety visit and we can check your smoke alarms and give some practical safety tips.

There are no current active fires in the Springwood area. The most likely cause for the smoke is the Victorian fires combined with an inversion layer due to the cloud cover.
Please call 000 if you see an unattended fire.

PSA: If your smoke alarm is still living in 2015, doing the Whip and Nae Nae and thinking it's lit, it's time to retire it. 1 June is Smoke Alarm Action Day. Be smart. Take part. Check you have a working smoke alarm.
