Springvale Snow Fest 2026 Sunday 21 June
Our school community is warmly invited to join us at this year’s Springvale Winter Fest, a vibrant winter themed carnival celebrating culture, food and family fun. The festival will be held on Sunday 21 June 2026, from 11am–6pm along Buckingham Avenue, Springvale.
We are proud to share that the St Joseph’s Primary School has been invited to perform on the Main Stage at 12:15pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for a group of our students to showcase their talents and represent our school at one of Greater Dandenong’s major community events.
Families are encouraged to come along and enjoy the full festival program, including snowfall experiences, neon light displays, amusement rides, cultural performances, food stalls, and free activities for children and young people.

A special moment from a Sunday 3pm Vietnamese Mass for Pentecost!
During his homily, Fr Thang invited parishioners to name the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit — with a $50 prize on offer. When no one volunteered, he turned to the young people.
One of our school Confirmation candidates bravely stepped forward and confidently named all seven gifts perfectly. It was a proud moment for his family, our school and our parish community.
Our candidates have now celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation, and we pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide them as they grow in faith and become more involved in the life of our parish community.
A beautiful reminder of courage, confidence and the Spirit at work among our young people.

Dandenong Interfaith Art Competition
A sample of two student entries is shown below. We are not at all surprised by the outstanding quality of the artwork — it reflects both our students’ passion for art and the exceptional skills of our Art Specialist who nurtures their creativity and technique.

🗣️✨ STUDENT VOICE IN ACTION! ✨🚌
Our four School Captains continue to shine as active members of both the Children’s Advisory Group and the Community Action Group—two student‑voice teams made up of young leaders from schools across the City of Greater Dandenong.
While these groups usually work separately to support community events and share ideas with Council about safety, wellbeing initiatives, and local projects, they recently teamed up for a community bus tour. Students explored key places around our area, including the Drum Theatre, local native nurseries, and other important community spaces.
A wonderful opportunity for our young leaders to learn, contribute, and make a difference.
