This group is designed by ( Mia )Jamille Jones. I want to tackle an ever growing issue in our community and need your help! I have a vision and I want to change the image of the Word "

Black" and give this word a value some have never experienced before. We are Kings and Queens and we should represent and portray ourselves in this manner. I believe if we can start at a local level then one day we can spread our message to the National level where many people in our community can benefit from change in our ever deterring community. And not only black people, all races and colors will benefit from us getting our priorities straight. We need to be the glue that makes them believe that this is possible. From research even though we in some ways are still oppressed by other ethnic groups by racism, unjust laws, and a messed up American society the one group that hurts us the most comes out to be not anyone but ourselves. There are so many opportunities for us if only we just came together and found our value and can notice that in our community. We are blind to our value and we cannot see it within ourselves. We believe this is an epidemic that soon will cause our people to be non existent if it does not change. I see our people looking up to other ethnicity for Marriage, for Assistance, for Role Models, For Parenting, and most importantly for Identity and for very good reasons. However, Its time to bring our people back to us and show them that they can lean on their own people and get the same respect, courage, Motivation, help , assistance, cooperation and Valued Self Image with those of the same ethnicity as well. How will we do that? B.L.A.C.C wants to reach out to our Black community and educate our people both young and old on the importance of putting the Lord first, Marriage , Education, Professionalism, Etiquette, Speech, Accounting and Basic Living skills, Networking, Events Marketing and becoming a True exclusive community amongst ourselves. No this is not saying to stay away from other cultures and ethnic groups but when we can empower our Communities we can Empower our future and that means "Longevity and Growth"

Wouldn't you like people to stop identifying hundreds of black people in a group with a Fall out Fight ? Would it not be better if they identified it as Us coming together to handle business? Jump aboard and help us win this fight. Where two or more come together and agree anything is possible. Join this group and help us with ideas that will help our communities THRIVE! We must understand and respect ourselves only then will we ever be Free! Going forward you are Blacc and Bliss not just Black.

THE FIRST WEALTHIEST BLACK FAMILY IN THE US:

Junius G. Groves 1859 - 1925.

Farmer, landowner, and businessman Junius G. Groves was one of the wealthiest Black Americans of the early 20th century. Born a slave in Green County, Kentucky, Groves was later liberated and joined other freedmen in the “Great Exodus” to Kansas in 1879, eventually finding work as a farmhand. Impressed with his strong work ethic and production, Groves’ employer offered him nine acres of land to farm on shares.

By 1884, he and his wife Matilda had saved enough to purchase 80 acres of land near Edwardsville, Kansas. So successful was their venture that, just four years later, they had acquired a total of 2,000 acres and replaced their one-room shanty with a 22-room mansion.

Groves made a name for himself as a potato grower, producing as many as 721,500 bushels in one year – far and away more than any other farmer – and earning the title of “Potato King of the World.” He also operated a general store, maintained several orchards, and had investments in various mining and banking interests. Groves worked the farm until his death in 1925. He attributed his success to the endless hard work and devotion of his wife and 12 children.
