Hello friends 👋🏼

I thought I’d just give a little update on what’s happening at Laura May Hair with all that’s going on, my health, and the latest restrictions that have been put in place.

• Firstly, I have woken the last 2 days with a small cough, headaches and asthma coming and going, which has confirmed that I will be staying at home until my health 100% again. Only then will I return back to the salon. Your health and safety is the most important thing, so I will be doing everything I can to keep you all safe!

• Secondly, until the current restrictions are removed I will not be offering any chemical services, as they take longer than the allowed time, but I will still offer at basin toning services as we will have JUST enough time to process and finish off. And I will continue with haircuts of course! 💇🏼‍♀️

• Thirdly, I will be in contact with anyone who has a previously booked appointment with me for the coming weeks to either reschedule or cancel for now. I apologise for the inconvenience!

• Finally, I want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been supporting me and sending me messages to check in! I’ve been overwhelmed by people’s thoughtfulness and am so grateful for you all! I will continue to do my best to care for you and your hair 💜

I just wanted to let you all know that I’m doing a bit of a change with my working hours for Laura May hair. What I’ve been doing in the past is working 4-5 days at Magnifique at Orion and then just fitting in my own clients whenever it worked for you and around my other work hours (often resulting in weeks where I would be doing hair on my days off).

And while I’ve been juggling it all and making things work, I’m now looking for a way to add a bit more structure to the business and a bit less stress for me! 🙈

I’m now going to make Fridays 8:30am - 5:00pm my set trading hours for Laura May Hair Design at Chipper Hair.

If you’re unable to make a Friday work and you’d still like to see me, you can always book in an appointment with me at Magnifique on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday evening or Saturday (although it will be slightly more pricey!).

I hope these hours work for you all, thank you for understanding! I look forward to doing your hair again soon 💜 # # #

I thought it was time to introduce myself to you all! I’m the Laura behind Laura May Hair design. I’ve been doing hair for as long as I can remember, but working in a salon since I was 14! I love doing hair, it’s always been a passion of mine to create gorgeous styles and make people feel beautiful - especially for weddings and special occasions!

I started my own business to be able to take care of family and friends, while still using great products and professional services - but at an affordable price (cause we all know it can add up! $$) - and decided to open the doors to everyone so that no one missed out! ☺️

The products I use in the salon are , , and . Only the best for my clients!

As for me, I’m married to my wonderful hubby Ben, and part of a big crazy family. I love Jesus, coffee, music, chocolate, community and cozy nights in.
