Japan — a plot in common Hello! and a Happy (very belated) New Year to you! I had started writing this post a few weeks ago but you know how it is… We returned from our time in Japan about three weeks ago now and had the most wonderful time. I love Japan and the Japanese people so much, and spending time with my family th

A Plot in Common. — a plot in common Hello! how are you? It’s so good to be here after such a long time. I wanted to create a platform where I could intimately share our stories as we begin this new chapter. At first I started making YouTube videos but quickly found that when Benji and I started a project we both became so focused th...

Little update:
We are living in Brisbane and loving it. Bought a little old cottage on the edge of the city. A 1870’s tiny little cottage. We are slowly making her home. She is lovely.
I’m studying nursing and loving every minute of it.
The kids are wonderful and my Benji is his usual awesome self. ☺️❤️
(Benji took this photo in Tokyo a few years ago. We loved the door and the ceramics all lined up... we decided to replicate it here on our little cottage..)
(Sorry deleted previous post because I didn’t post the whole video 😅)
We have so much we want to show you! I’m going to post over the next several days and get you up to speed on where we are at with Joyce 🚌.
We are Tash and Ben, and we have bought an old school bus that we are converting into a tiny home.
Along the way we are exploring the ideas around tiny living and living more with less.
We are growing a bit smaller!

Benji and I have been exploring medieval villages in Abruzzo. With the same focus as our trip to Japan last year, buy an old place to restore and find a way to give back to the local community. We are discovering that there are so many places all over the world that are facing the same issues. It seems poverty, industrialisation, immigration and natural disasters are all contributing factors, especially in these rural locations. These places are the soul of these countries.
They are beautiful.
We viewed about a dozen properties in Abruzzo and spent some time exploring the area and doing a bit of research on how people were finding ways to rebuild these communities. Visiting these places can be both heartbreaking and inspiring. We hope to play our part in breathing new life in to one of the places in the very near future.. ❤️
Weaving, wine and sunsets with my Benji.. hope you are all having a wonderful weekend xx
