We enjoyed a delightful Christmas lunch on the river with the wonderful women who provide care at Maiden Health. It is such a privilege to work with such a great group of people, and we thank all of our patients, past and present, for making this team possible.

Maiden Health is growing - AGAIN! We’d like to welcome Katrina Ridout to the team. Katrina is an exceptional Dietician and Nutritionist with a particular passion for nutrition around fertility, pregnancy, and postnatal care. She is also experienced in a range of general conditions and health concerns including diabetes, heart disease and weight management.

There are a lot of myths and half-truths floating around about fertility, and it can be hard to know what to believe. Here are a few myths we think everyone should know.

Concerned about age when planning when to have a family? Wanting to take steps to get as healthy as you can before pregnancy? We answer common fertility questions like these on the Resources page on our website!

In order to start fertility treatment asap and get to baby sooner, there’s a range of fertility related tests you can have done before your first fertility appointment. You can ask your regular GP for these tests, or you can book in with our in-house Women’s Health & Fertility GP.

We are thrilled to announce that Maiden Health now has an endocrinologist as part of our team! A huge welcome to Dr Aakansha Zala, a highly experienced endocrinology specialist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Dr Aakansha has a specialist interest in hormone issues affecting women’s health and thyroid, but is experienced across all areas of endocrinology including diabetes, weight management and metabolic disorders. Please call reception to organise an appointment.
