Negative gearing isn’t dead - and most of the panic online is wrong.

Here’s the calm version:
1. Already own an investment? You’re grandfathered - nothing changes.
2. Buying a new build? Untouched - full negative gearing + the 50% CGT discount.
3. Only new, established investments are hit - and from 2027, the rental loss can’t reduce your salary.

The part no one’s talking about: many lenders have already cut how much you can borrow on these right now, even though the tax change isn’t until 2027.

So before you panic (or buy), get your borrowing re-checked.
