Exec team is keeping a close eye on this weather. Our expert of met is adamant that it will be all clear for an on time launch tomorrow at 0100z.
An update from range staff suggest all equipment and surroundings are nominal and in the green for a successful launch.

Exciting news today from the exec team. We are a go for launch!
Sunday 17th January 2021, we will be making another attempt at history. As you can see, our team has been working very hard to ensure our state of the art rockets are secure and ready at our new launch site, pad Kilo.

We have already spoken to the team, this is what they had to say:
“Yeah we are all very excited to launch right into the new year. We are expecting to make some huge steps forward this year. We are set for the weekend, just really keeping an eye on the weather. It’s about a 50% chance for nominal weather, but we’ll have to wait and see.”

We have been quiet for a bit, but rest assured, our team has been flat out over the last few weeks, with our trip to Cairns for fuel research, and consultations with possible launch site owners, we are proud to announce that we are ready for another launch! We have been given the green light for launch site Kilo and will be heading out that way over the next few months. Now it's time for our exec. team to knuckle down, and get everything prepared. This will be our biggest launch yet! Get excited!

We are making progress with re-entry techniques from low (very low) Earth orbit. Steak anyone?

Busy week for our team at B-JET! Currently on a road trip to Cairns for research purposes. Another well known space company has advised the use of beer as rocket fuel, so Ben and Tom are on a journey to test as many fuel options as possible. Thankfully we have an intern (thanks Emma) to keep driving so we can continue our research to become the best!!!

Southern Launch is set to make history by being the first company to launch a rocket to the edge of space from Australian soil in recent times while working closely with Australia’s First People.

The news has been welcomed by the Australian space industry and the greater community, with South Australian Premier Steven Marshall also touring the Southern Launch mission control facility this week for a behind the scenes look.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, at about T+00:00:03, we had an anomaly in the rear stabilisers causing an offset launch. We believe this then resulted in a failed stage 1 separation, causing the rocket to return at high velocity into the dirt. Stay tuned though, we had several successful launches (coming soon).
