Hey everyone, ✨ for those of you who haven't met me yet - i'm Ash/Ashley (I like either ☺️) and I'm the creator behind White Tara Malas 📿

It occured to me today that I haven't introduced myself to you all yet so I thought it was about time I put a face to the brand and give you a bit of background into me and where White Tara Malas (WTM) all started.

The whole idea of WTM dropped in for me just under 10 months ago now, and the inspiration behind the concept was actually from the mala wrapped around my wrist in this picture. ❤️
I purchased it from a market stall in Surfers Paradise about 10 years ago, at the tender age of 20 and totally forgot I had it until covid occured last year.

I'm sure like most, covid hit me pretty hard in conjunction with a few other traumatic life events happening for me at the time ... But like all things in life, it was perfectly timed as it sparked my heart awakening journey to follow my spiritual path.

So about 18months ago now, this beautiful mala found its way out of my dusty jewlery box, wrapped itself snuggly around my wrist, where it stayed for the better part of the next 6 months. Making me feel grounded, safe, held and on a fascinating level like it gave me the unsaid permission slip I needed to lean into this new world I was discovering and made me feel like less of an imposter in a world outside of the 'norm' which is all I'd know....

The comfort, mental clarity and confidence I sought from this (what I thought to be) 'hippy piece of jewlery' blew my mind and I was devastated the day it decided to break! 😔
When it broke I will admit I cried... but I managed to pick myself up and take my loose crystals and broken pieces to a local bead store and asked them kindly through teary eyes to help me fix it. Which they did 🙏

It was in that moment tho, in that store, looking at all the crystals on the wall that my creative sparks started to fly.... ✨

I'll leave it there for now, but I want to keep inviting you into my journey and this business and I'm so excited to show you all the ideas I've been working on for the last 3 months! 🤫

Moss Agate is probably one of my favourite crystals. Not necessarily for it's healing properties but instead for it's depth and range of colour. Every bead within our Moss Agate mala is a different shade which means no two malas look the same. They each have their own unique qualities, colours and patterns.💗

Howlite is the crystal I have chosen as the guru stone for all the malas I make, and each one is chosen with intention and purpose.
I chose Howlite because it is an incredibly calming stone, but also helps keep you balanced and assists to express emotions.
