We're working with only 1-2 volunteers today compared to our usual 3. It's also our busiest shift of the year so please be patient and kind when returning toys. If you can stay to count a few toys before leaving that will help things run smoothly ❤️

2 of our volunteers are no longer available and it's our last session for the year. Can you spare some time tomorrow?

✨ Tomorrow is the day! ✨

Bendigo Community Toy Library is excited to open our doors tomorrow from 12–2pm and warmly invite prospective members and allied health professionals to drop in and say hello.

This open house is perfect for:
• Parents and carers interested in joining the library, learning more about our low-sensory sessions, or receiving supported borrowing recommendations from our Toy Librarian

• Allied health professionals who may like to recommend the Toy Library to clients or explore opportunities to collaborate on a Stay & Play event in 2026

• Community members who would like to learn more about our improved accessibility supports and ongoing inclusion journey

Please note: As borrowing sessions have finished for the year, no toy borrowing will be available during this event.

We can’t wait to see you there! 💚

💚🌻 Bendigo Community Toy Library is proud to announce our participation in the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program🌻💚

What does this mean for the library?

🌻 Our Toy Librarian and committee members will now be wearing Sunflower lanyards during borrowing sessions. This shows that they recognise the Sunflower and are ready to offer understanding, patience, and support.

🌻 Visitors are welcome to wear a Sunflower lanyard too. If you or your child would like others to know you may need a little more help, time, or communication support during your visit, simply borrow a lanyard from our Accessibility Trolley at the front door.

🌻 Wearing the Sunflower is completely optional, it’s simply a quiet way to let us know how we can better support you.

We’re excited to continue creating a space where all children and families feel seen, valued, and supported.

🌻💚Accessibility Update- NEW ACCESS RAMP💚🌻

We’re excited to share that our toy library now has a brand-new accessibility ramp, making it easier and safer for everyone to access the library- whether you’re pushing a pram, using a mobility aid, or just juggling little ones and a bundle of returns!

This upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive, welcoming space for all members of our community.
