AREAS / REGIONS COVERED

Shellharbour Security Systems PL conducts operations in The Illawarra area and the Southern Highlands, extending to the South Coast, Western Sydney and South Sydney for all levels of electronic security. From small domestic to large scale industrial, financial and government sectors.

PACKAGE INCLUDES

$50K - $85K base excluding super. Will be provided with vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop. Negotiable on experience and knowledge.

DUTIES INCLUDE

Maintain, service, install and quote Electronic Security Systems, CCTV Systems, TCP/IP networks, Access Control Systems, Intercoms and other systems.

* Has excellent people and communications skills.

* Able to work both supervised and unsupervised.

* Identifies, assesses, and prioritise jobs.

* Has good electrical/electronic background.

* Travels to job sites and other areas where established and new clients are located.

* Responds to and services jobs and identifies functional / operational difficulties or failures.

* Has strong problem solving and planning abilities.

* Maintains various listed systems' operability by performing scheduled routine maintenance and service.

* Reports complete and accurate information on required documentation.

* Provides status and service reports and recommended actions.

* Available for rostered oncall.

* Available for additional hours when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have at least 5 years minimum commercial electronic security experience.

Must always hold the following Licences:

* Current valid NSW Driver's Licence

* Current valid NSW Security Class 2C Licence

* Current valid ACA Open Cabling Licence

* Construction induction safety certificate (White Card)

Must have strong knowledge of:

* Concept security systems

* Tecom security systems

* CCTV systems and CCTV IP network systems

* IP and traditional intercom systems

* Electrical AC/DC principles and circuits

* Microsoft/Linux server/desktop operating systems

* Microsoft Office products.

The applicant must be reliable, have good work ethics, be able to carry out all aspects of electronic security installation, service and maintenance on electronic security and other systems. Have excellent communications skills, customer service, organisation and documentation skills.

Alarm backup batteries typically last 3 - 5 years. Most modern security systems automatically check the backup battery and show a trouble/fault/service light should it fail a battery test. If it's been over 5 years and you haven't had your security system backup battery checked you should probably arrange for a service. Call us.
