Living with multiple sclerosis means living inside an unpredictable brain. Much of the experience is invisible to others, yet constantly present.
In this piece, the brain transforms into a garden. Flowers grow, burst and intertwine through its folds, symbolising resilience, creativity and life continuing despite uncertainty. Each bloom represents adaptation, growth and the quiet strength required to navigate a changing neurological landscape.
This work reflects the idea that even within illness, the mind remains a place of imagination, beauty and possibility.

2026 is officially looking chirpy! π¦β¨
I wasnβt able to offer printed calendars this year, but I still wanted to share something special, so Iβm gifting the 2026 digital birdβart calendar to everyone for FREE.
Itβs filled with some of my favourite feathered friends, and some pretty cool conservation related dates. I hope it brings a little colour and calm to your year. πΏπ

It's that time of year again! This is the second year I'm reflecting on the
This year I decided to primarily focus on my digital bird illustrations. I enrolled into a conservation course and it has been a big influence on the educational side of my art. I decided to scale back on local markets as there were a lot of cons that were building up. Instead I wanted to focus on art and design markets. I also wanted to focus on sustainability and use Australian made recycled, eco-conscious materials.
I was fortunate enough to be chosen to participate in the "Made By Hand" market and had a blast. I also was stoked to be chosen as a finalist in the Beechworth honey label pollination competition (you can still purchase my honey jars from π). I also continued to be a part of the Port Kembla community and stocked my bird art .plant.house
For most of this year, I felt pretty content with my art making, between balancing part time work and study, but some good things come to an end and tragedies occur. Last week I experienced a thief breaking into my house and stealing my precious ipad I use to create my art. He also managed to steal all my precious belongings and empty my bank account, so now I'm left with nothing. I feel like the past couple of years after being diagnosed with MS has been such a struggle. But being a Ta**us, I'm fairly bull headed and willing to fight.
I'm hoping I can continue my art making and I'm hoping I can get my hands on an ipad again. So until then, I'm on a bit of a pause until I can find my feet again.
I do really appreciate all the recent outpouring of assistance and kind messages, but I find it hard to accept help. I feel like the best way you all can support me is to continue to believe in me and support my art. You can currently find my stock within the habitat plant house/wild fowl shop in Port Kembla.
I do thank everyone of you so far for following my journey and rooting for me. Fingers crossed next year is a great one! *manifesting* π
Much love,
Sofie

Messed around on an ipad, kindly gifted by .plant.house (huge shout out THANKYOU!!) after my ipad, along with ALL my original digital artworks, including art I was working on, got stolen after a house break in.
I developed my own font! I've got future greeting card/tshirt design plans for 2026. Along with some fun, educational and interactive crafty plans if my budget allows! Fingers crossed!
The Meeps are what I call my gouldian finches because they make the sweetest meepy type sounds.
