One of our cream legbar pullets just laid her first egg!!! A size reference from one of our australorp girls, Rosemary that occasionally lays double yolkers (111g- picket fence!!) and I think this tiny blue egg might be from Karen- she’d like to speak to the manager ASAP!

This misting system has been a god send for the chickens, it only has to be turned on for about 15 minutes and that’s enough to cool it right down. I think Rosemary loves having a good bath in it
Pearl barley is really high in protein and is a great treat for your chickens. Make sure to soak your barley before you feed it to the girls, this helps with digestion and increases their hydration intake, especially on these hot summer days we’re having at the moment 🥵
