A little job completed recently. I had to do things a little different with this pool as the pool itself was 30 mm out of level, the sides were pushed in minimum 25mm on each long side, the beam itself was up and down, and there was a height variance in the beam of 26mm..
Just because a Builder is permitted to tile under their license doesn’t mean that they should.

Finished this job a couple of weeks back after ripping it out because it was poorly done. The clients were stoked.
300x600 white gloss ceramic wall tile with FSDD Magellan Grey grout, 298mm x 600mm black polished porcelain wall tile with Maxisil black grout, 200x200 floral floor tile with FG8 Magellan Grey grout.
Thanks to Thew Construction for their part in re-sheeting the walls for me.
This job was done in November/December 2019 by a tiler who is no longer in the area, and this room was not complete and never been used.
Not even a year later issues were found. I got called to this job in January this year, upon my visit I removed one tile by hand and discovered what I thought was the case. I started the demo yesterday. Some of the tiles were literally only being held in by grout. Three tiles over the freestanding bath pretty much fell out by themselves. These are full body porcelain tiles that weigh 4-4.5 kg each, ceiling height is 2.7 meters. This is an elderly couples ensuite.
Work like this does not meet standards, and is outright dangerous.

Local builder Wil King did an excellent job on the prep. We discussed the layout to execute the perfect result.
Glad to have been able to get the finished pics of this job.

A little shower floor repair I did a couple of months back. The person who tiled this bathroom had the whole thing flat. No fall to any drains at all, used incorrect glue, and wrong sized notch trowel.
At least the shower functions properly.
The time has come to order some more business cards. In the coming weeks I will post some photos of bathrooms I have completed and leave it up to you my followers to vote on which bathroom you think is the best. The winning bathroom will be my new background pic for my cards.
