The recent reports of women being attacked in our community are deeply concerning.
My thoughts are with the women affected, and I know many local residents are feeling unsettled.
Everyone deserves to feel safe walking through their own community — at any time of day or night.
We’ll keep listening to residents, backing our police and doing everything we can to make our community safer.
Victorians deserve a fresh start — and a government that puts community safety first.

Today Ben Carroll confirmed that it’s you, the Victorian taxpayer, who will foot the bill for Dan Andrews and Jacinta Allan’s legal bills at the Royal Commission.
This is simply not good enough for two premiers who are already receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from their taxpayer funded pensions.

Remember Stan? He and his wife once owned the Seaview Newsagency where I worked as a kid as a paperboy.
I caught up with Stan over the weekend at the opening of the Sandringham Bowls club season.
Pleased to report that Stan is doing well, enjoying retirement and fondly remembers his Seaview Newsagency days!
We have a plan to fix one million potholes across Victoria and when I say fix them, I mean doing the job properly.
Take this pothole outside the Seaview Shops on Balcombe Road in Beaumaris as an example.
Throwing a bit of asphalt into a pothole isn’t fixing our roads. It’s a temporary solution that leaves the same problem for another day.
Victorians deserve roads that are properly maintained and properly repaired by a government that works for them.

Regardless of postcode, income or background - every student deserves the best chance to reach their full potential.
Our plan means greater opportunity, a stronger education system and better outcomes for students.

Mentone residents have fought for years to protect the heritage-listed station precinct from inappropriate development on the vacant land at 79 Balcombe Road.
Kingston Council has now unanimously backed a practical solution for the purchase or long-term lease of the land so that it can be opened up to the community.
I'm calling on the Labor Government to work constructively with Council, to ensure that this space becomes part of the station precinct.

To be a father is the greatest privilege in the world.
There is nothing quite like watching your kids grow — in heart, in mind and in character. Seeing them discover the world, navigate challenges, form their own views and gradually become the people they are meant to be.
And what a privilege it is to be there for it.
To be the person they run to when things go wrong. To encourage them when they doubt themselves. To challenge them when they need it. To open their minds, guide their decisions and help them understand the world a little more deeply.
But with that privilege comes an enormous responsibility.
Our kids don’t just listen to what we say — they watch what we do. They learn from how we treat others, how we handle adversity, how we love, how we forgive and what we stand for.
And above all, fatherhood is the privilege and responsibility of loving your children unconditionally — and giving them the confidence, values and foundation to go out into the world and make it better.
So to all the dads — Happy Father’s Day, lads. ❤️
