One of Japan's leading acoustic guitarists, Chuei Yoshikawa has performed with many of his country's most acclaimed musicians as well as touring extensively as a solo artist. A member of the legendary 1970s folk group The New Frontier, known for incorporating traditional Japanese instruments, Chuei is also renowned as a studio musician, arranger and producer. Several guitar companies including Martin and Yamaha have "Chuei" signature model guitars. He has his own online guitar school and also performs rakugo (Japanese comedic storytelling) under the stage name Akogi-tei Chusuke.
