We love seeing the impact Community Bank branches are making in the communities they serve.

From supporting Riding for the Disabled centres and grassroots sporting clubs, to helping provide meals for people experiencing hardship, funding life-saving emergency equipment and backing important community fundraising events, these initiatives demonstrate the power of community banking in action.

Every project funded helps strengthen local communities, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for people to connect, participate and thrive.

It's a great reminder that when communities support their local Community Bank, those profits are reinvested back into projects that make a genuine difference.

Surplus meals from Camp Warrawee are now helping support people doing it tough across the Moreton Bay region.

The rising cost of living is making it harder to access nutritious meals. Sometimes that hardship is carried quietly by families, young people, low-income households, and people facing housing or financial stress.

Through our 2025 September Grant Round, Pine Rivers Community Finance was proud to provide funding to support the YMCA’s Meals on Ice initiative at Camp Warrawee.

This funding helped purchase a commercial-grade blast freezer and packaging equipment, allowing surplus meals from Camp Warrawee to be safely frozen, packaged and redistributed, instead of going to waste.

Through a strong partnership with Encircle Community Services, more than 245 nutritious frozen meals have been provided to people experiencing hardship across the local community.

This is community funding at its best. Practical equipment. Trusted partnerships. Less food waste. More support for local people.

These packs are a meaningful way to help families feel informed, reassured and cared for. This is a fine example of how community banking can provide practical support to families when they need it most. Learn more about this grant-funded initiative here: https://prcf.com.au/bravehearts

Bravehearts was honoured to meet the funders from Community Bank Samford, along with our friends from Queensland Police Ferny Grove, Inner West & Redcliffe Child Protection Investigation Units.

This funding assists families making reports to police, as well as those accessing Bravehearts’ specialist counselling to receive Bravehearts’ Parent Packs.

Alison Geale, Bravehearts’ CEO, said: “It is a wonderful testament to communities coming together to support their own and help protect children from harm, and we are so grateful for this collaboration.”

What a cracking day at the Dayboro Rodeo on Sunday. The bulls bucked, the horses whinnied, and the crowd was treated to a ripper day out.

Congratulations to all the competitors who took on the arena in pursuit of more than $20,000 in prize money.

Pine Rivers Community Finance, through Community Bank Samford, was proud to support this great country tradition; one that brings together community spirit, local connection and family-friendly entertainment.
