Our good friends at Team Richards Dance Studio are this years host club for The Australian Nationals held in Melbourne.

We always get a tonne of support for Gippy Rocks from Team Richard’s so we’re calling on our Gippsland crew to get behind and support them back. If you’re interested in going talk to your instructor at any of the Gippsland lessons or contact us and we’ll organise some spectator tickets or better yet chuck a number on your back and get out there and compete!

It's time to get excited, the Australian Nationals 2026 are taking place this August in Victoria. It's time to get your Entry Forms filled in, order your Spectator Tickets (bring your cheer squad) and show your support for Rock'n'Roll by becoming a Sponsor. Gippy Rocks 2027 Dates 🥳

It gives us great pleasure to confirm that Gippy Rocks is returning in 2027 and will be held on the 12-14th February.

We’ll have a heap more info as we start to get things organised, but for now book in your annual leave, book some accommodation and get ready for another awesome weekend away in Gippsland.

I know how keen lots of you are to have dates for Gippy Rocks 2027, believe me we’re doing everything we can to confirm them ASAP

We are just waiting on our permit to be approved by Wellington Shire Council to utilise their land and that’s our last hurdle.

Crikey it's been a month and a half since Gippy Rocks 2026 and we're only just starting to get on top of our wrap up of this years festival. It's been a huge start to the year for our committee as some of us have had extensive commitments and others have been jet-setting around the world, I know which one I'd prefer!

The Gippy Rocks Committee finally met the other day to have our annual debrief and look at some of the feedback we have received regarding the 2026 Festival. Overall, we're over the moon with the attendance and how much people seem to enjoy attending this event. Every year we spend hours upon hours planning and doing our best to deliver an event worth attending and your support year after year is very encouraging and keeps us trying to outdo ourselves every year.

We of course have also outlined areas that we will strive to improve on for 2027. We don't claim to be perfect, but we try!

The biggest question we keep receiving is when the 2027 festival will be, we're actively working on dates that hopefully won't affect other events scheduled throughout the calendar for 2027. Every event organizer we've spoken too is in the same boat 2027 isn't kind on dates for the first half of the year.

Keep an eye out in the next week or so for our confirmed dates for 2027 we're 90% there just a few more hoops to jump.

There are so many people to thank for making Gippy Rocks 2026 possible, it takes a mountain of work from a huge amount of people to make an event this big work, there aren't enough words to express our gratitude to all our volunteers and workers throughout the weekend!

Sunday 4 of 4 @ The Sale Canal Reserve – The rain came in, but it didn’t stop people getting up and enjoying a dance…. and that’s a wrap for another year.
Thank you to Union hydraulics that supplied the generator that kept us rocking during a planned power outage.

Sunday 3 of 4 @ The Sale Canal Reserve - It wouldn’t be Rock and Roll without the Classic Cars and today was no different. The Show and Shine was a great success.

Sunday 2 of 4 @ The Sale Canal Reserve - We had 3 bands over 6 hours of dancing! Kris Knight and the Boogey Men opened the day, followed by Juke Box Rock, then the fabulous Detonators.

Sunday 1 of 4 @ The Sale Canal Reserve - For the final day of Gippy Rocks we were at the Sale Canal Reserve. With a classic vehicle display, memorabilia stalls, food & drinks, outdoor stage and a massive dance floor. But most importantly with friends!
