BALI BOLTS

During a recent stay in Bali, a sudden and violent storm unleashed torrential rain across the island, triggering widespread flooding. Lightning bolts tore through the sky with increasing intensity, each strike landing closer than the last. Amid the chaos, I managed to capture two dramatic bolts within my frame. The first, a near direct hit, overwhelmed the sensor and blew out the image at f/13. Moments later, a second strike, slightly more distant was successfully recorded at f/18, preserving the raw power of nature in a single frame

Little blue lake

This stunning little lake in Tasmania’s north east is a reminder of mining operations that once existed here! The stunning waters whilst inviting are not recommended to be swam in due to its high mineral content!

A beautiful time of the year is coming!

SPRING TIME STORMS

The winter chill begins to fade away,
As springtime's warmth embraces every day.
Across the fields, a golden spectacle unfurls,
Canola blooms like sunshine, bright as pearls.
The air is soft, a gentle, buzzing hum,
Beneath the vast, cerulean sky to come.
Then distant thunder starts its low, deep call,
A promise of storms to chase for one and all.

🌄🌳 Sunrise at Spook Wood 🌳🌄

Morning breaks in muted tones, Fog draped soft on weathered stones. The hills drift silent, forest-bound, Wrapped in dew and drowsy sound.
Gum leaves shimmer, ghostly pale, As light begins its golden tale. Spears of sun, with gentle might, Pierce the mist in threads of light.
Each ray whispers through the trees, A quiet dance upon the breeze. The kookaburra laughs aloud Joy rising from the leafy shroud.
And there I stand, face turned to flame, As warmth ignites the bush by name. A new day hums in nature's blood— Another dawn in Spook Wood.

A FOGGY START

The alarm sounded I jumped outta bed to a mighty chill rugged up ready for sunrise but i couldn't see through the fog!
A chilly -.5 and not a cloud insight but the glow of the sunrise through the fog made it all worth while

Too good not to repost

WHICH WAY

As a storm chaser you usually run towards the storms but as we got close enough to see this Dust Storm we knew we would be running to keep in front of it!
This front formed just south of Whim Creek and pushed right down the coast past Pannawonica. roughly 250kms
