Calling 000 can feel overwhelming β especially in an emergency.
One of the biggest things that helps emergency services respond quickly is staying as calm and clear as possible. You do not need to make a big speach.
βοΈ Important things to tell the 000 operator:
β Your exact location
β What has happened
β If the person is breathing or unconscious
β The personβs age (approximate is okay)
β Any immediate dangers nearby
β What First Aid is being given
π« Donβt hang up until the operator tells you to.
Remember:
The operator will guide you through questions and help you step-by-step until help arrives.
You do not need to know everything β just tell them what you can see and what is happening. You Got This.......

What do I say to the ambulance people when they arrive??????
A lot of people panic when paramedics arrive and suddenly forget everything that happened.
The good news? Ambulance crews donβt expect perfection β but a calm, clear handover can make a huge difference.
π©Ί Helpful things to tell the paramedics:
β What happened
β What time it happened
β If the person lost consciousness
β Any CPR or First Aid given
β Changes in the personβs condition
β Any medications, allergies, or medical conditions if known
Even simple information can help emergency crews continue care quickly and safely.
Remember:
You do not need to know everything. Just pass on what you saw and what you did.
That alone can be incredibly valuable.
