Late night to finish off some roll cage upgrades

In and out in a day. Adam Mileham brought in his hull for a little work after the last round crash.
A quick push here or there and a few hits with the hammer and it's looking alot better. While we started a little bit of panel work we sanded a few spots down and found nearly 12 layers of paint.
It back home for Adam to finish off the body work before paint

Already for Brian Jackson to pick up his boat and start the reassemble.
Good luck with the up coming season mate.
The jig bench won't be empty long with the next boat coming in Monday.

Well it is all finished with the body work and paint. This has been a huge task with both sides being replaced, the rear transom replaced , the hull massaged with a sledge hammer and rubber mallets.
The top deck took the longest with lots of work going into making it straight and flowing with the boat. Even had Nigel Johnson come up and lend a hand
Now Brian Jackson just needs to keep it on the wet stuff.
Let's see if all the changes can grab you a few more seconds around the track.

A quick last minute colour change.
Let's see how this turns out.

Now this is the final rub down before we hit it with colour.
The front panels weren't replaced and needed alot of work to get them straight and line up with the new panels. The top deck has been a hand full . Ps if I see anyone sitting on or heavy leaning on the deck I will give you a mouth full, go lean on your own boat. This has been a nightmare to get straight.

Body work is done and cage is out for a birthday.
Now to start blocking it a bit straighter.

The gift that keeps giving.
We are getting there. Hopefully on the down hill now and no more speed bumps.

We are back from a quick trip to Newman and back welding away on the boat.
Back end coming along nicely.
Having the cad drawings helped alot but also got us into trouble. I should have done a few more measurements on the hull as the back and sides didn't line up and had to re fold the back panel.
We are back on track now and looking good.
