Last week, we were honoured to welcome the Governor-General of New Zealand and the New Zealand Consul-General to Mudgin-Gal Women’s Place.

The day began with a heartfelt Welcome to Country by Aunty Joan Bell, followed by an exchange of gifts, a beautiful rendition of Te Aroha, and a powerful dance by Rayma and the Buja Buja Dancers.

We also heard inspiring words from our Matriarch Bronwyn Penrith and Co-Chair Coral Lever, sharing the strength, resilience and vision of Aboriginal women and our communities.

A special day of culture, connection and respect. β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’›
