There's something special about the world right after the rain.

We stepped outside barefoot to explore, create and connect with nature in all its messy beauty.

Children mixed wombat stew in the mud, found a dinosaur buried beneath the wet soil and crafted cupcakes in the sandpit. Others wandered over to our garden to check how the lettuce had handled the downpour, picking a few leaves and proudly announcing they still tasted "yummy!"

These moments of curiosity, resilience and joy are what ealry learning is all about 💕

Our Kindy explorers were busy collecting bark, rubbing sticks together and proudly announcing, “This is how we make fire!” 🔥
They even brought over the number crab to “cook” on their campfire — imagination at its finest!!

Meanwhile, our Toddlers were tapping their clapping sticks and singing our Acknowledgment of Country with big voices and even bigger hearts.

Reconciliation Week may have ended, but our children keep the spirit glowing through play, connection and curiosity.

Wunya! - Welcome!

Yesterday, we joined the Reconciliation Week morning tea at Kallangur Hospital. We were welcomed through cleansing smoke and listened to Elders share stories, languages and truth. We learnt that “Kippa” in Kippa-Ri no means young boy; a reminder that the places we visit every day hold deep cultural meaning and these are the kinds of stories we want our children to grow up knowing.

Reconciliation is a journey we walk with our children through stories, songs, languages and everyday conversations and as educators we hold the privilege of shaping how the next generation learns to listen, respect and care.

So let’s keep walking this journey together with warmth, curiosity and hearts that stay open to learning, always.

We’re often asked what being not-for-profit really means for our families.

Simply put, it means that our purpose always comes before profit. Every dollar we make is reinvested back into our centres, to provide children with enriching and safe learning environments.

We understand how important it is for children to be in a place where they feel safe and settled. And when families need to make a change - planned or unexpected - we’re here to help make that transition easier.

We’re here to support families when it matters most – because every child deserves a Goodstart! ✨

Today our kindergarten children rolled up their sleeves and got creative with a hands-on sustainability project 🌱♻️
Using old tyres, the children explored the concept of upcycling—transforming something no longer needed into something beautiful and purposeful. With paintbrushes in hand, they designed and decorated each tyre, before working together to turn them into vibrant garden beds for our outdoor space 🌼
This experience wasn’t just about art and gardening—it supported our centre’s commitment to environmental awareness and responsible practices. The children engaged in meaningful conversations about caring for the planet, reducing waste, and how small actions can make a big difference 🌏
Through this project, we linked closely to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF):
🌿 Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world – developing respect for the environment and understanding sustainability
🎨 Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners – exploring creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning
💬 Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators – sharing ideas, collaborating, and expressing themselves through design
We are so proud of the children’s enthusiasm, teamwork, and growing awareness of how they can care for their world 💚

🌪️ Spin, Laugh, Take Turns! 🌪️
Today we’re exploring movement, teamwork, and a little bit of friendly challenge using the spin tubs! 💫
Children are encouraged to take turns sitting in the tub while their friends gently spin them. Together, we’ll see how fast (or slow!) we can go, noticing how our bodies feel and how we can keep each other safe.
✨ children’s voices:
“Let’s take turns! Who would like to spin first? How fast should we go? How does your body feel when you’re spinning? Can we try faster or slower?”
👀 What we’re learning:
• Turn-taking and cooperation with peers
• Understanding movement, speed, and balance
• Listening to our bodies and expressing how we feel
• Building trust and social connections
📚 EYLF Learning Links:
• Outcome 1: Children feel safe, secure, and supported as they build trust and confidence in group play
• Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing through active physical play and body awareness
• Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners as they experiment with cause and effect (speed and motion)
• Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators as they share ideas, negotiate turns, and express feelings
Let’s spin, giggle, and learn together! 💕

In Kindergarten, our curious learners gathered for a thoughtful discussion about plants with Miss Fiona 🌱✨ From sharing what they already knew to asking big questions about how plants grow, the children showed such enthusiasm and wonder.
The conversation then blossomed into hands-on learning as we headed out to the garden to plant our very own seedlings 🌼🪴 The children carefully worked together, exploring soil, roots, and the importance of caring for living things.
This experience supported:
🌿 EYLF Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world
🌿 EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners
A beautiful day of learning, discovery, and growth 💚

Baking English muffins to go with our English breakfast tea!
Children are developing an understanding of their own and others’ cultural identities by sharing family experiences and engaging in meaningful group activities inspired by peers bringing in pictures of their families on holidays or bringing in special foods for kindergarten to try!
This experience supports Outcome 1, 2, and 5 of the EYLF as children share their cultural identities, develop respect for diversity, and engage in meaningful conversations inspired by a peer’s family experience✨💕

This afternoon our beautiful kindergarten friends engaged in using shapes to create various animals, ships, and foods!

Children will use shape counters and visual reference pictures to create animals and rockets, supporting their understanding of shape recognition, spatial awareness, and correct placement. Through guided play, they will develop early problem-solving skills, fine motor coordination, and the ability to follow and interpret visual cues, helping build confidence and readiness for kindergarten learning.
