๐ฆ๐บ We have a new Aussie resident! ๐ฆ๐บ
Please join us in congratulating our โenergeticโ ๐คฃ Educational Leader, Jenna, on officially becoming a Permanent Resident of Australia! ๐จ
Jenna joined our team in February 2025 and from the very beginning we knew we couldnโt let her go. Sponsoring her was one of the easiest decisions weโve made, and what a wonderful decision it has been! ๐ซ
Jenna has made such a huge impact on our centre through her passion, dedication and care for our children, families and our team. We are so excited to have her with us for many more years to come ๐
Sorry Liverpoolโฆ your scouser is staying with us, sheโs a Queenslander now ๐ฆ๐บ ๐๐ผ

๐๐ผ WORLD BEE DAY ๐ผ๐
At Sesame Lane Redcliffe, we love creating meaningful learning experiences that connect our children with the world around them and this week we celebrated our tiny but mighty pollinators! ๐๐
We are so grateful to be part of a special partnership with Teralba Bees, helping our children learn about the important role bees play in pollination, sustainability, and caring for our environment. ๐ฑ๐ฏ
To celebrate World Bee Day, Amber and her daughter Ruby generously gifted our service a beautiful box filled with felt bees, delicious local honey, and gorgeous honey dippers for the children to explore and enjoy. ๐โจ
A huge thank you to Amber, Ruby, and Teralba Bees for supporting our centre and helping spark curiosity, learning, and conversations about nature and sustainability within our kindergarten community. ๐๐ป
๐ฟ๐ฅ OUR BUSH KINDY PROGRAM JUST GOT A HUGE UPGRADE! ๐ฅ๐ฟ
Our team recently had the incredible opportunity to take part in a hands-on Bush Kindy professional learning experience and we are SO excited about what this means for our children ๐ฑ
Guided by the amazing Vicci from Wildlings Forest School, educators explored ropes, knots, temporary shelters, safe tool use, and meaningful campfire experiences, all designed to deepen childrenโs connection with nature and outdoor learning ๐ชตโจ
Through this experience, our team gained practical skills and fresh inspiration to create even richer Bush Kindy adventures where children can build confidence, resilience, independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills in real and meaningful ways ๐
Bush Kindy (Wild Wonders) is so much more than outdoor play it gives children opportunities to take safe risks, work together, care for the environment, develop persistence, and learn through curiosity and exploration ๐๐
We cannot wait to bring these exciting new ideas into our Kindy program and watch the children thrive as they climb, build, create, discover, and connect with the natural world around them ๐ Wildlings Forest School

๐ข๐ HAPPY WORLD TURTLE DAY ๐๐ข
At Sesame Lane Redcliffe, we celebrated World Turtle Day by exploring the importance of protecting our oceans, caring for wildlife, and learning how small actions can make a big difference for our environment. ๐๐ฟ
As part of our sustainability journey, we revisited and refreshed a special turtle created by a previous Kindergarten group. Instead of replacing it, the children worked together to reuse, repair, and improve it, giving our much-loved turtle a brand new life while learning the importance of sustainability and reducing waste. โป๏ธ๐ข
Through conversations, creative experiences, and hands-on learning, the children explored how turtles live, why they are important to our ecosystems, and ways we can help protect them by caring for our planet and keeping our oceans clean. ๐โจ
We love seeing our children develop a sense of responsibility for the world around them while building connections between past and present learning within our Kindergarten community. ๐
We love the Fun Friday Reels just as much as Colleen loves us on rostering days ๐๐คฃ
There is something so special about working with little humans ๐
Every single day is filled with wonder, imagination, curiosity, laughter and joy. From the endless questions to the magical stories they create, our days are never boring and always full of fun!
Watching children explore, learn and grow through play is such a privilege, and we absolutely love creating a space where their creativity can shine โจ
Have you seen our Kindy Hub yet? ๐
Itโs a beautiful space designed to inspire learning, discovery and imagination, and we would love for you to come and have a look!
Come see the magic for yourself ๐
We use Technology as a powerful tool for creativity, collaboration, curiosity and investigation๐กโจ
At our Kindergarten Hub, the children have been loving using the projector to explore light and shadows. From creating shadow animals with their hands to experimenting with movement, size and position, the children have been deeply engaged in hands-on discovery and scientific thinking ๐๐๏ธ
Experiences like these support the goals of the QKLG by encouraging children to become confident and involved learners as they investigate, problem solve, communicate ideas and work together with their peers โจ
โ๏ธ๐๏ธ Did You Know? ๐งฉ๐จ
Supporting fine motor development is about so much more than just learning to write a name! Before children can confidently hold a pencil and form letters, there are many important foundational skills they need to develop first โ๏ธ
At our Kindergarten Hub, we support fine motor skills through everyday play and experiences such as:
๐งฑ Building with blocks
โ๏ธ Cutting and gluing
๐๏ธ Drawing and painting
๐งต Threading and beading
๐ฅ Using tongs and utensils
๐งฉ Completing puzzles
๐ฟ Exploring natural materials
These activities help strengthen the small muscles in childrenโs hands and fingers, improve coordination, and build the control needed for future writing skills๐
We believe learning happens through play, exploration and meaningful experiences, and every little activity helps prepare children for the next step in their learning journey โญ๏ธ
Sesame Lane Redcliffe families, this Wednesday, 3rd September, we celebrate the heart and soul of our community, our Early Childhood Educators.
Every day, they go above and beyond, nurturing little minds, supporting families and creating safe, joyful spaces where children can learn, grow, and be themselves. Their roles are so varied, from planning the curriculum and documenting each childโs learning journey, to managing paperwork and everything behind the scenes and yet they do it all with smiles, patience, and boundless care.
Join us in celebrating these incredible people who give so much, often without recognition, yet make an enormous difference in the lives of our children and families.
