What an amazing feat

'Hardest Geezer' Russ Cook becomes the first person to run the length of Africa Extreme marathon runner Russ Cook completes his run across the entire length of Africa after a 352-day odyssey which included being robbed at gunpoint and suffering food poisoning.

Happy Christmas from our beautiful Quinns Rocks. Beth and I experience such indescribable joy from living here. Today seemed extra special with everyone, and I mean everyone, greeting and smiling at everyone. There was a couple walking in Christmas gear handing out to everyone they walked past a $1 Lotto scratchcard and card in a hand written envelope. They just do it "because"! What a fantastic start.

Breaking news! This evening, in front of a crowd of over 800 industry experts, Insurance Advisernet won the 'Authorised Representative Network of the Year' at the 2023 ANZIIF Awards, for the 6th consecutive year! A heartfelt shout-out to all our Practices and Advisers. This accolade truly reflects the outstanding service and advice they deliver to our clients day in and day out!

"Done is better than perfection" was something Beth and I heard on a podcast on Friday on our way camping that really resonated with us. Sometimes it's to easy to keep looking for that Holy Grail. If course is never attainable.

This morning on ABC Health Report with Dr.Norman Swan, Professor Fiona Stanley and Donna Ah Chee gave facts and figures on the health regime in Australia and in particular the Aboriginal peoples. How many ill thought through (maybe well intentioned) Government policies have led to poor health outcomes for our First Nations. Even providing flour and sugar on the Stations as a ration is believed to have contributed to the 6x increased likelihood of kidney failure in the long run.

I'd be interested to hear thoughts from both sides of the discussion. My thought is let's do something in the affirmative rather than wait for perfection.

Why The Voice is a health issue - ABC Radio National Australians are soon to vote on changing the Australian Constitution in order to recognise First Nations people—a vote called the Voice to Parliament. The Voice has health implications and we discuss its importance.
