Out of the scrap pile a beautiful elm coffee table is born.

Impossible waterfall ends & a lil sculpting and there it is, ready for the customer to finish sand & apply the oils.

Cant wait to see the end product.

This was an cool hall table project by a DIY in the factory.

Rustic Steel sourced from a mining elevator was the customers inspiration. Slabs of messmate cut 120mm thick for the legs.

It's far bigger than it looks in the photos. 1m high & 2.5m long.

Definitely dont make steel like that any more - really hard going drilling out the holes)

👌This picked up last week by a very very happy family 😁

I feel like this could be my flagship offering going forward - start leaning back into more reclaimed timbers and custom/traditional joinery. Will be putting some options up on the website store in the coming weeks to order.

It comes with more manageable timelines without all the patience and reworking that often goes into the high feature work that i've been focused on for the last 12-18 months.

I still love the slab furniture with all the resin filled character - it just needs so much more time in the factory to get the desired outcomes & does not make sense as the staple business offering as i'd hoped it would become.
