Today, Rakesh had the pleasure of delivering a guest lecture at The Games Institute, University of Waterloo. The presentation centred around the concept of , the focus of his latest research which was published at .

The interaction and engagement from the audience were stimulating, leading to a rich dialogue about the future of spectatorship in gaming and interactive media.

A special thank you to the team at The Games Institute for facilitating this event, and to Sabrina and Lennart Nacke for the invitation and organisation.

We are conducting a diary study to understand how we use muscle memory while interacting with ourselves and the world around us in our everyday life. This could include examples such as knowing (without thinking) which side your fridge's door handle is on and how to operate it.

Knowing these details from everyday life examples could help interaction designers understand how to utilise better our existing experience, i.e., the muscle memory of interacting with the world and incorporate it into the design of everyday things.

DM Rakesh Patibanda or email him ([email protected]) if you would like to participate 🚀 🙏

Chief Investigators include Florian Mueller, Elise Van Den Hoven and Rakesh Patibanda!
