Have been pretty sick this last week,... Thank God for my constant supporters.

I can never get enough drawing people and books... sometimes both of them together 😅 💛

I had been doing monstermayhem challenge in the last couple years but this year i had been so flat out and didnt feel up for it. But as part of the 10 yrs celebration of monstermayhem, had extended extra 10 prompts and the last one happened to be one of mine and my kids fav thing...vending machine!!! 😅

Usually i drew these monsters for fun, but this time i decided to be abit personal and draw a vending machine that gives out scary thing for adults in general and things that stopped us from being creative. It's prob too small to see... but they are: False Hope, Bills, Self Hatred, Fear, Doubts, Kids, Laundry, Comparison and Over Thinking. Can you relate to any of these??? I know vending machine meant to be disposing fun things we craved for... so this monster is doing the opposite and just gives out things to feed our broken dreams 😅

Told the kids to take part too... they drew a portal vending machine to anime world and  timezone scene. 🤣

As always thanks for the fun challenge every year. Though i havent been participating, we had been following the stories and enjoying checking out everyone else's posts. My fav part always is about seeing the different interpretations of the prompts. 💛🤩

"And this is why girls live longer than boys..." as i impart my knowledge to my daughter using real life example 😅

I dont have fav kid but i definitely have one that i prefer to hang out with for my soft living era 😅🤪

Recently i had one on one time with ben and told him "ben, i am very proud of who you are...not just what you do". He responded with "uhm,... ok thanks bruh" 🤐🤦‍♀️

Most of my doodles were a tiny fleeting moment of motherhood... but this one expanded over a few years. When his sister started bikeriding, he often complained how slow she was. And i reminded him that we go with the pace of the slowest/ weakest person in the group... in any case, he can go ahead with dad and i would stay behind with her. I told him we formed a formation to protect him and his sister.

Fast forward to present... where i am the most unfit person in the family 😅 and i started to notice that Ben no longer bike rides along with my husband but stays behind me. How did we get here? I wonder when did it occur to this 10 yrs old that i am the one needed protection from being left behind? 😅  He has such a gentle soul and i am so proud of him... even when he called me "bruh" and responded to my heartfelt and full of intense love expression with emotional range of a potato.

Disclaimer: we do wear helmets when we bikerides!!! Just for the purpose of this drawing i left out the helmets! Swipe left for evidence 🤪
