Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

For World Gratitude Day, our centre has been filled with little moments of thankfulness as our children explored gratitude through colourful chains, handmade cards, our growing gratitude tree and simple conversations about the people who make their days brighter! 🍁🌳

Their answers were wonderfully honest and heartwarming, giving us little glimpses into the people, moments and everyday things they hold close. A beautiful reminder that gratitude doesn’t have to be big or complicated. Sometimes, it’s simply noticing the love that is already around us. ✨💛

When something captures their interest, we love finding new ways to explore it. This time, bubbles met art! 🫧🎨

Using playdough cutters, bubbly paint and little canvases, the toddlers pressed, stamped and popped their way into colourful creations. Pop after pop, the canvas began to fill with unexpected shapes and bursts of colour, all chosen by little hands. It was messy, bubbly and full of little moments of excitement, exactly the kind of learning we love to see! 💛

When animals become a favourite, there’s always another little detail to discover!

Following the toddlers’ growing interest in animals, we brought the jungle to our sensory tray! They explored the textures and creatures around them while looking closely at the patterns, identifying and matching them to the right animal, turning their jungle hunt into an extra little challenge! 🦒🐘🌿

This simple invitation to play became an opportunity to look, match and discover. 🤎✨

Our preschoolers explored mark making on black paper with white paint, following lines, swirls, dots and patterns. Some copied the marks carefully, while others added their own little twists!

Mark making is more than just putting paint on paper, it’s strengthening little hands, building coordination and laying the foundations for drawing and writing. With every line and swirl, they’re beginning to find their own language on the page. ✍️✨

Little ways to show we care ✨💛

Across our centre, the children explored the message behind R U OK? Day, noticing how our friends might be feeling, showing kindness and being there for one another. This year’s message, “Ask R U OK? Any Day”, reminds us that caring and checking in can happen any day.

From yellow handprints to conversations about what happy and sad can look and feel like, the children found simple ways to connect and show they care. Sometimes caring starts with simply noticing a friend and asking, “Are you OK?” 🖐️🌼

🛡️ For National Child Protection Week, our kindy children led an Outdoor Safety Investigation! We believe listening to genuine children’s voices is key to building agency and confidence.

Armed with safety checklists, our little detectives explored the yard to assess potential hazard areas themselves. They took full charge deciding where to place "DANGER," "BE CAREFUL," and "SLOW DOWN" signs around the outdoor space. 🔍⚠️

The best part? The children now actively remind and look out for one another in these areas! By trusting their voices, we empower them to take ownership of their safety every day. 💙
