I love a revamp on a classic that can be taught in our classes. Parents and grandparents hearing this familiar melody and children learning the timbres of the instruments, the body percussion and while learning to say the onomatopoeia. The Trolley Song by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blane. Made famous by Judy Garland in the 1944 film, ‘Meet Me in St. Louis.’
- dedicated to Liam.

Every music program starts with a story.
For Musical Minds founder Tanya Bethune, that story began at six years old when her grandfather encouraged her to learn music through her local Brass Band.
That early experience grew into a lifelong passion that saw Tanya perform as a trumpeter and singer with orchestras and blues bands across Australia.
Today, that same love of music shapes every Musical Minds program.
Her vision has always been to create meaningful music education where children can explore creativity, confidence and connection through live music experiences.
It's a philosophy that continues to inspire children, educators and families across Melbourne.

We are ALL IN. Let’s learn together, let’s share in song and stories and let’s commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation. If you’ve experienced a Musical Minds music class you are completely aware of how we connect to First Nations culture and how we have made a commitment to keep learning.
Join me as we connect with Aunty Gail Smith’s Nursery Rhyme books in the Wurundjeri season of Waring. It was a rainy day today, so Itsy Bitsy Yerree (Spider in Woi-Wurrung) claimed the water spout.

Where did you start your Music journey? PART 1
I get asked this question a lot! It’s a really heart warming story and it is a big reason why we started Musical Minds - learning music with your community.
PART 2 up next. Who influenced you to want to explore music further?
Sugar Glider Night. Can you glide like the Sugar Glider? Scurry high and glide low, follow the pitch of the music. This is dedicated to Andy who has a keen sense of night vision.
