WHPH Workshop 💕🫶🏼

Yesterday, I travelled down to Lang Lang to take part in an extremely informative bodybuilding workshop, run and hosted by owners and directors of WHPH, Justine & Ro

Firstly, they welcomed the 4 of us, as their first ever WHPH Pro Athletes. And allowed us to share our stories, our journeys and our experiences with all in attendance!! Plus presented us all with a beautiful bunch of flowers from 💐

WHPH, are a relatively new federation, yet they showed us why they are going above and beyond and presented the future of WHPH with clarity, confidence and direction.
New, Upcoming and experienced bodybuilders all sat back and listened to amazing stories and were able to ask questions and receive informative handout booklets with everything you need to know about competing!

Yesterday was a chance for WHPH to showcase their future, and that they did! Thank you Justine & Ro. So excited to see WHPH evolve, grow and exceed all expectations!

Vulnerability

Today’s post is a little different.
It's from the heart. Wait, no scrap that, I always write from the heart offering you insights and all that I go through, what I have learned, endured, experienced and struggle with.
I have also tried to be real, raw & honest, to share my own vulnerabilities so that you know and feel, you are not alone…. In sharing my story, i hope we can learn and grow through life together.

This past month has tested me, really tested me. It’s pushed me to the edge and I have had to dig deep to keep myself afloat whilst trying to help and uplift so many others, and bring them back to a place of safety, respect, kindness & growth.

Mental Health, Depression & Anxiety are also huge parts of me and affect my life daily, this is one of the reasons why I also decided to complete the push up challenge this June …. AND I’m forever grateful to everyone who donated to help this cause!

I pride myself on giving 100% of me (regardless of where I am mentally) and creating a positive experience for all those I come into contact with…. however, this was not always the way! I used to be hard-core and only focused goals & results, never the emotional well-being or how others felt…. But this all changed many years ago when I crumbled into a heap from anxiety, bullying and much much more…. But I can and will do better! If you need me, I will be that person! The one you can always rely on - that is a promise I make to myself and those that need me.

Now moving forward, for me, Acknowledgement of a problem is the first step towards its solution. As a coach and even just as a human, we have to be coachable … We never stop learning and developing better skills to help us through life!

Never ever be afraid to step up, speak up, and admit the wrongs …. We grow through mistakes…. We grow through accountability. We grow when we see how we can make a change, a positive impact and help others shine!

My Vulnerabilities become my strengths because I open myself up to the good, the bad and the ugly, and allow others to see I am ‘human’ and I am here!
