Pete’s annual hike with Nash is about reconnecting and letting loose. But this year, Alex stands in for Nash. When the two estranged friends find themselves off track, they search for new paths in each other in order to honour what they hold dear.

A film developed over several months through improvisation, Embers is a nod to early 2000s digital filmmaking characterised by the mumblecore movement.
