Japanese students enjoying their time on the lake, with what I am convinced (in the background) is one of the hardest mountains to photograph, Mt Fuji. Oh what I would do for a clear sky here.

I’ve spent the last 2 weeks in Japan, part of a group with a shared interest in photography. This is the 3rd year (and trip) in a row that I have spent doing these, hosted by the talented and amazing
If you ever get the chance to join one of these, I implore you to do so! You will create lasting memories and friendships that you cannot do any other way.
Thank you to all involved for being part of this, and as I’ve promised on past trips, I will never forget.
I also just need to shout out Lizzie for her care and dedication to this being an enjoyable experience for all, while being 30 weeks pregnant! I can’t wait to see you again my friend 🫶🏼
For everyone else, I will be slowly posting pics from this trip from here on so please follow if you’d like to experience them.

“People of OpenRoads Rally, Lima South, March 2025”
For a 3rd year in a row I am proud to have supported the great team and participants for the OpenRoads Rally in Lima South. It always makes the job easier when people are willing to interact with the camera. Thanks riders and I’ll see you down the track!

To choose which photo to share from this place, is incredibly difficult. But what’s important is that I do share it with you. Hiking to 5000m asl to experience the colours of these Peruvian mountains was a memory I will never forget

About last night.
What a phenomenon!
With our aurora apps giving notifications early yesterday morning of high likeliness of seeing the Aurora Australis in our location, most times you ignore it. From where we live in Melbourne, it is very unlikely to see this. You’d usually get an alert saying the KP index is 4-5. To our surprise yesterday around 5pm we were alerted it was... 8! The KP index only goes to there maximum of 9! It did reach that later in the night. This is unheard of.
We could not miss this and raced approximately 1.5 hours south. It was worth it!
I hope you all got to experience this once in a decades moment. Thanks for sharing it with me and the many laughs
