Matthew (2023 grad) and Avesta (2024 grad) spoke with our Year 12 Chemistry students, answering questions regarding study habits, challenging areas of study, exam preparation and tertiary expectations.
Avesta also provided advice to some Math Methods students during the session

Tim Watts MP Ourschool

On June 5th, the Year 12 Literature class went on a riveting excursion to TopScribe as part of VCAA’s Season of Excellence. Students from all across Victoria are invited to apply and share their creative writing and only a handful are chosen to be included in the 2026 Topscribe anthology. 🖊️

The students were treated to a variety of different students reading their response which ranged from absurd musings on corporate emails, a retelling of the Ned Kelly story and even a literary visit to Imperial China. The students then took inspiration from the event and went to work on writing their own pieces inspired by our study of ‘Smart Ovens for Lonely People’ which we shared picnic style at the end of the day. It was an inspiring day overall! Perhaps one of these students will be compelled to apply for 2027’s Topscribe…

Today the Year 12 students had an insightful information session from The University of Melbourne and Monash University. The students gained significant course information to support them with their VTAC application in Term 3! Not long to go now until they’re done with school!

Thank you to our 2025 graduates Ashmeet, Sanket, Mannat and Athena for volunteering their time to talk with our year 12 Business Management students
Each alum discussed their approach to various areas:
🔹Classroom topics: note taking, asking questions, closing their laptop to listen exclusively to instructions
🔹Study strategies: Flash cards, reviewing notes, creating posters for revision
🔹Exam preparation: some preferred to work alone while others had a study group
Alum presented their advice during a Q&A session, followed by answering questions in smaller groups

Miss Stein took a group of PCSSC girls to the Trade and Tech Fit Expo yesterday! The expo created a safe, inclusive and equitable space where female and gender diverse people were able to interact directly with tradespeople, apprentices and industry professionals.

This provided a deep dive into a broad range of career pathways through unique and exciting exhibits and stalls. Not to mention the free pens!

As the school begins planning for next year, we are excited to announce that enrolments for our 2027 Year 10 cohort are now open!

Families who have a current Year 9 student are asked to attend our school’s front office to pick up an enrolment application.

Enrolments will close Friday August 7th, and families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible - allocation of elective subjects will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

Thank you Nakita (grad 2018) for chatting with our year 11 Legal Studies students.
Nakita spoke about her tertiary experiences, the importance of industry based volunteer work and when possible, attend open court sessions to gain an insight into the profession.
She commenced her career in Warrnambool gaining invaluable experience prior to moving back to Melbourne and working with Legal Aid.
Nakita provided insightful information to student queries and we hope to have her back again.
