Our third instalment of Sundays at SoHo is almost here — and with the weather looking pretty darn good, it’s shaping up to be a beauty of a Sunday afternoon in the pop-up park! 🙌

From 2PM–5PM, the talented young performers from Music Valley take to the stage for an afternoon of live music, showcasing some of Point Cook’s emerging musical talent. 🎤🎶

And we’re not stopping there! 🥁

From 5PM–5:45PM, Beat Factor Music will take over with a FREE drumming workshop — so after enjoying the music, you can get involved and make some noise yourself! 🔥🥁

What a night !✨

Last night at Kindred Bandroom was one of the best events we’ve had in years, and it showed exactly what happens when talent, effort, and the right people come together in one room.

To every student, musician and artist who took the stage, thank you for reminding us why we do this. The growth on display was months in the making, and it showed.

To our Music Valley team, thank you for the work that goes on behind the scenes to make nights like this possible. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

Huge thanks also to our incredible crew who made the night run seamlessly: Mark Madzinga behind the camera and audio, David Mullins capturing every moment through photos, and the whole Kindred team for hosting us in the perfect venue.

A special shoutout to Adam at Kindred, your sound and stage production were flawless from start to finish. Nights like this don’t happen without people like you.

To our families, coaches, and community who showed up to support a different kind of music education, thank you for being part of the journey.

Big news from the Valley.. ✨

I’ve been accepted onto Music Victoria’s newly formed Regional and Outer Metropolitan Music Roundtable, a group bringing together voices from across regional and outer metro communities to help shape the future of music policy in Victoria.

17 years ago, Music Valley started here in Point Cook because I saw musicians left to navigate this industry alone, without the structure, support or environment to actually succeed. That belief is still what drives everything we do. Now I get to bring that experience, and everything Point Cook and Wyndham have taught me, into a room that’s shaping real change for communities like ours.

This is bigger than Music Valley. It’s about making sure outer metro and regional artists get the same seat at the table as everyone else.

Grateful for the opportunity, and looking forward to working with Music Victoria to represent our community and make an impact together in the Victoria’s music industry.
