This nature-based campsite is hidden among limestone cliffs and turquoise waters just a few hour’s north of Perth 🏕️
Cliff Head campground doesn’t take bookings so get there early to pick your favourite beachfront spot.
Here’s everything you need to know:

🚗 315km, 3hr 15min drive from Perth
⛺ 3 unpowered camping areas suitable for tents, swags and caravans: Cliff Head North, Cliff Head South and Cliff Head Central
💰 $20 per night per vehicle

🪑Site has camp kitchen, undercover seating areas, fire pit and bins
🚰 No drinking water or power
🔥Fires permitted May-September
🐕 Dogs are permitted, must remain on-lead in campsite

Drivers and riders, take note — there are three new WA road rules you need to know 🛴
1️⃣ People on bikes and eRideables are now exempt from giving hand signals if doing so would be unsafe in the circumstances. For example, when riding down a steep hill.
2️⃣ People on bikes and eRideables are now exempt from the standard requirement to keep as far left as practicable when approaching, riding in, or leaving a roundabout.
Taking the lane increases rider visibility and prevents dangerous overtaking.
3️⃣ eRiders are now permitted to ride on all roads with a speed limit up to 50km/h (regardless of line marking or medians).
This makes the rules simpler to follow and also aims to reduce conflict in town centres.

RAC Patrol cars through the years: 1926 🚕
Back 100 years ago, you might have come across one of RAC’s very first patrol vehicles: the Matchless M3 motorcycle and sidecar.
Built in London and delivered to Perth, these 990cc machines quickly became a lifeline for motorists across WA, operating through to the late 1940s.
At the time, just two patrols covered either side of the Swan River, scouting for breakdowns as they went. If you needed help, you didn’t call for it, you hoped to spot one 👀
The sidecar wasn’t just for show either. It was designed to carry passengers, offering a ride to safety when needed.
