Third Space Jams is super excited to be celebrating International Jazz Day for 2026 at Perth’s home of jazz – The Ellington Jazz Club!
We’re going to be joined by a fantastic line-up of Perth’s best musicians to play some incredible music and then form our house band! This gig will be the perfect opportunity for musicians to relax and have a jam, or for jazz lovers to book a table to and enjoy the buzz and spontaneity of a high level jazz jam session!
Third Space Jams is a Perth based organisation ran by musicians for musicians (Sofie Kerr, Tom Salleo and Bob Tweedie) – creating opportunities for our community to connect, grow and to make some incredible music in and around our scene.
It’s jazz day so come on down, call a tune, hang out, have a drink and listen to some great musicians.

We are super excited to FINALLY announce that we will be welcoming a crew of incredible creatives working on a stunning documentary about Perth’s very own at our jam on the 27/3 🤩🤩🤩 The film crew will be busy in the background at our jam to capture some visuals of musicians, audiences and the overall vibe of our community (only visuals, no audio so you can go crazy while you jam hahaha!!) It will be so special to be a part of this, especially for our first Ellington jam woooo!!! ‼️HERE IS WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO‼️ We want to see everyone’s beautiful faces at the Ellington, whether you’re jamming, there for the hang or want the chance to be involved in the documentary!! So get yourself a ticket, tell other jazz musicians and spread the word to the wider Perth arts community!!! We had the best time at our first community jam in January, and are so excited for our Feb jam!!! 🔥🔥🎶

Our community jams are all about mentorship, learning and connecting- we’re going to have some very talented musicians with us to impart their wisdom and jam with us 🎶🎶

Hey! We are super excited to introduce you guys to Third Space Jams….

We have been working together to create a group to host and facilitate an array of regular Jazz Jam sessions all around Perth. We wanted to create spaces for our community to connect and get together to motivate, encourage, mentor and create awesome music together.

We’ll be sharing details for our first all levels welcome Community Jam soon, as well as announcing some cool jams at our favourite Perth venues.
