IMDT accredited, Cert IV in Animal Behaviour and Training and continued studies in Concept Training (UK and Canada). I want to help improve your dog’s life. Let’s talk and meet to assess their needs, identify problem areas. Together we’ll identify what needs to change and what we need to strengthen. First we’ll stop your dog practicing unwanted behaviors by managing the environment, they become what they can rehearse. Then we’ll create a training plan. There is no judgement, you are doing the best you can with all the information you have. I’ll teach you and your dog practical skills to help handle real-life situations. I use force-free, positive reinforcement training methods, positive reinforcement is more than just handing out treats— with time, structure, consistency, patience and empathy we strengthen and teach the behaviours we want meaning your dog will be more likely make right choices in the future, eventually the right choice selection becomes automatic. I offer One-on-One Training (home consults) and Puppy Consults (pre-puppy arrival and post puppy arrival). Coming soon!

How long would you keep doing something for free? Keep your dogs learning and motivation fueled by treating heavily during the learning process then occasionally once the action or behaviour has been learned. You can also reward them with something like a Nose Touch if you make it fun enough!!

Don't forget to teach your dog calm and how to switch off, let them be dogs 😊
We sometimes don't give a dog long enough to process what we've asked. Have you ever just given your dog a moment when you've asked them to do something and seen what happens? We escalate and get annoyed too quickly, let's try to set our dogs up for success!

Foxy Dogs Dog Training runs group classes in City Beach and West Leederville (next year in Nedlands!), Puppy Kindy at Wembley Vet Clinic in Jolimont and does one-on-one home training consults.

Congratulations to one of our two Beginner Classes for recently graduating Foxy Dogs Dog Training, where they taught their dogs a combination of concept training and behaviour training. Congratulations to our Intermediate Class for recently graduating Foxy Dogs Dog Training, where they taught their dogs a combination of concept training and behaviour training. We only had two in this class this term so these two lucky lady's and their pooches more or less had private one-on-one's with me for the whole term while we worked on their dogs specific needs and got the dogs to work off each other.
