Last month the ABC News visited Peninsula Downs Dairy to see something pretty special.
The farm has installed a hybrid solar and battery system to help replace diesel power used for irrigation and farm operations.
Peninsula Downs runs 3,200 cows across 2,700 hectares, producing over 21 million litres of milk each year, so reliable power is critical.
