Clients from Bethanie South Metro Social Centre recently enjoyed a Big Day Trip to Gingin, sharing lunch at The Gingin Hotel before exploring the local area, Bindoon and the Swan Valley.

Along the way, the group stopped for fresh local produce, ice cream, bakery treats and a visit to Whistler’s Chocolate Factory. With clients joining from Bethanie Home Care South, Bethanie Peel Community Housing, Bethanie Waters Retirement Village and Bethanie Waters Aged Care Home, it was a wonderful day of connection, conversation and discovering local favourites together. ☀️

Residents at Bethanie Geneff Aged Care Home were delighted to receive a visit from a special furry friend, Teddy. Thank you, Teddy, for brightening our residents' day and reminding us of the joy that can come from the simplest moments of companionship.🐾

On Friday, we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day and recognised the hard work, dedication and care shown by our teams across Bethanie every day.

Across our sites and service lines, team members came together to mark the occasion with morning teas, lunches, barbecues, games, awards, gifts and special moments of appreciation.

Meet Jim, a resident at Bethanie Bert England Lodge Aged Care Home. As a former Navy serviceman, Jim values keeping fit and was looking for more ways to stay active.

After sharing his feedback through a resident survey, the Physiotherapy team and Facility Manager worked together to find a solution that would support Jim's wellbeing. Thanks to a generous donation, Jim was gifted an exercise bike, and the team provided guidance on how to use it safely, along with a personalised exercise plan to help him make the most of it.

Now, Jim has incorporated the bike into his daily routine, supporting his physical wellbeing, independence and quality of life. 💪

Winter fun ⛰️

Clients from Perth Central Social Centre recently enjoyed a visit to Lesmurdie Falls, taking in the fresh winter air, sunshine and the beauty of nature together. It was a particularly special experience for some of our clients who haven't lived in WA very long.

The outing ended with a shared meal at Kalamunda Hotel, where stories were exchanged and connections grew. It was a gentle reminder that the best moments are often the ones spent together, discovering new places and enjoying each other’s company.

Residents from Bethanie Subiaco Aged Care Home recently swapped their usual routine for a scenic spin along the coast.

With ocean views, fresh sea air and plenty of good company, the outing was the perfect excuse to hit the road and enjoy some of Perth’s best scenery.

There was plenty of excitement at Bethanie Dalyellup Aged Care Home when some very special visitors dropped by.

Residents enjoyed spending time with the friendly alpacas, sharing pats, smiles and a few laughs. Their gentle nature made for a memorable afternoon, with many taking the opportunity to get up close and enjoy a unique experience.

At Bethanie Eaton and Maali Social Centre, getting out and about is always a highlight.

Our clients recently enjoyed a relaxed morning tea in Bunbury before heading on to Boyanup for lunch, taking in the scenery and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It was a fun day out filled with great conversation, good food and even better company.✨
