Vaccination conversations can be complex, especially when parents are uncertain, hesitant or declining.

Our Senior ID helped develop an interactive learning pathway for a regional health service, taking a single pre-recorded training session and redesigning it into Confident Conversations: a self-paced, five-module pathway that builds clinicians’ confidence to talk with families about childhood vaccination.

It started with a simple ask: “Can we publish this recorded training session?” Instead of uploading one long video, we saw the chance to build something clinicians would genuinely engage with: a structured learning pathway with five modules, five formats and one place to start.

Every choice was intentional. We met learners where they already are, mixed formats so each module earns its place, brought in expert voices for depth, and finished on a practical tool so learning carries straight into practice.

Before: one long pre-recorded video with no learner interaction. After: a five-module pathway with interactive video, built-in activities learners complete in real time, and seamless links to national eLearning. Same core content, completely different learning experience.

The feedback speaks for itself. Reviewers described it as a thorough eLearning package, and one said they couldn’t recall seeing such a comprehensive, authentic video for clinicians. The conversational style made it feel like a colleague speaking, not a lecture.

Yesterday, we celebrated WA day.

And I am extremely grateful to have landed in this beautiful sunburnt country, from the amazing pearling history up north in the Kimberley, to the amazing red dust in our rugged Pilbara, to the eclectic Midwest, the stunning wineries and caves in the South West, to the freezing cold in Great Southern, to the interesting Wheatbelt, let’s not forget the geologically rich Goldfields, and of course the remotest city on the planet - Perth.

We are all so blessed to call this state home, whether you have migrated here like I did or have lived in this country for thousands of years, may we all be great custodians of this land so the next generations can appreciate its beauty for years to come.

On the desk today: My instructional design neurons are firing at 100% capacity while mapping out a Transition to Management document for nurses and midwives.

But while deep-diving into high-level leadership pathways, it got me thinking about how beautifully scaffolded the whole nursing ecosystem actually is.

It isn’t always about cognitive load and wireframes here at the Studio.

This past weekend, I traded instructional design for a night of deep connection at the 80th anniversary of the Philippines-Australia Strategic Partnership. As someone who is proud to call both of these nations home, the evening was incredibly moving.

Coming from a regional background and as a country girl who loves the pearls of both nations, I was especially struck by the tribute to our shared history. I deeply loved the acknowledgment of the “Manila Men” and their vital contributions to the Broome pearling industry.

It was a beautiful reminder that while my “day job” is about designing the future of learning, my heart is deeply rooted in the stories and heritage that brought us here.

The neurons are firing at LXD Studio!

It’s been a week of beautiful instructional design chaos. We’ve gone from auditing organisation-wide learning ecosystems to getting granular with microlearning on clinical waste disposal (making trash-talk educational is our specialty).

Plus, our Lead ID has been pulling up a chair at the ‘big kids’ table in executive meetings for her day job. Who knew Adult Learning Theory and Corporate Strategy were such a power couple?

While the schedule is hectic and the cognitive load is high, we’re loving every minute of making learning actually stick.

As a migrant professional myself, I know that the journey from a "survival job" back into a specialised professional role takes more than just hard work. It requires a strategic reframing of our international expertise into an Australian narrative.

I have always been a bit of an OG Nerd. While others were specialising in one lane, I was busy collecting experiences in Healthcare, Accounting, Migration Law, and Leadership and Management. Why? Because I am obsessed with the “how.” I love the science of how our brains actually absorb and keep complex information.

I started LXD Studio to bridge the gap between heavy organisational strategy and the practical reality of the learner.
