Bespoke structures are on trend some for a long time and some not so. The current movement of what we refer to as the Palm Springs influence is a combination of one colour. Simple shapes curves, pale contrasting colours and sometimes a touch of blonde Timber textures. I’m not sure this trend will be as big as the Hamptons movement but it’s definitely popular. The Palm Springs Effect In recent times design has been evolving in the Modern Hamptons space. Simple designs with the over use of white has become popular and texture has almost replaced colours. This movement which I believe has been accidental in our market has led the way to a slight twist on the way we build a classic Hamptions Patio which we are now calling “ Palm Springs Influence”. With the use of white on White The aged home can be brought to life and the round free form pools that have been challenging to a renovation design are now a focal point. Textured brickwork painted white has been the easy solve for ugly brickwork and walls. This has paved the canvas for the outdoor living space palm Springs style. With a twist on the most popular trend of the last 10 years , the Hamptons patio is now recreating itself in this trendy , cool , retro, vibrant Palm Springs Style.
Older timber colours , blonde or dark are now contrasting the white base coat to help this and that old furniture that our parents or grand parents once had is sort after.
