SPREADING ROOMERS started as a one woman consultancy, helping small businesses in the interiors industry fine tune their brand voice and all the things that go with it. Along the way - I discovered how much I love telling a good story and how much this space could use a little authenticity. So; when people ask me, what is Spreading Roomers? I say "Spreading Roomers is about demystifying the world of interiors one story at a time"!
Itās every Australianās right to subdivide & grow a portfolio or build wealth, because we need more housing,ā¦but what - the - actual - s**tbox - is - going - on?
A local Perth council has voted 14/1 against roller shutters in the heritage neighbourhoods of Mount Lawley, Menora & Inglewood, prioritising historical aesthetics over modern practicality.

My neighbours had roller shutters on every window before they demolished & newly built, and it looked like a prison. They look completely out of character & give āhoarder vibesā but do they serve a purpose?

How can I put this simply??? A hard 2000 tonnes of landfill PASS!! ā
If the Albo government can slap šš¼ down negative gearing, and skim our stocks & crypto profits (in the name of rebalancing the housing market, of course!), surely they can slap these k**b hockeyās with IP infringement on every - single - item - on - their - shelves and just shut this s**t down!
Itās open thievery, encouraged by stagnant wages and paying $3000 for our groceries.

Let me caveat this first - I am pro AI if used well & wisely!
I think it can unlock incredible potential & has the ability to bring more attention to the ideas & conversations to the forefront that matter, than praps in the ways that we are used to are capable!
But, iām not pro bulls**t. Playing with images to present a falsehood, to gather interest in real estate š” via duplicitous means is actually a dick move!
Obvs, agents have been dabbling in the dark arts for some time (fish eye kitchen images anyone), but this is a new low.
Real estate agents out there thinking this is good for businessā¦ it aināt. We already put sales people & lawyers in the same š© categoryā¦. This isnāt helping!
What do mean you would turn down that gorgeous pool & landscaped garden?
Look š - it is gorgeous, my kids would love it, but I already have a pool, and itās high bloody maintenance. It costs money to upkeep & as the kids get older, they honestly swim lessā¦ but;
I donāt have raised veggie š„ gardens, or a place to grow edibles & lean into biodiversity. I would need to change my entire yard or design it for food growth in mind as we face east & the ideal areas get scorched š„µ
Dream homes or elements of wish lists look very different for all of us.
I care less about having a magazine worthy house & š” more about having a home that we love living in & grows with us.
