Got the big groomer running again this week after having to rip the motor off a few yrs ago after a Verti engine died.

Gave the front lawn 3 passes then cut off again same height as the day before with the wheatbelt kerb side Scotty
Firmed up a lot.
Heavy sweep and height reset over the next few days

This place always produces the best cores soooo many holes.
Clint gave it a good height reset ready for coring a light skim with red loam

We are back into it now 💪💪

Having a late / slow start this year due to unexpected surgery early September.

Everything thing is ready to roll.

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, I’d like to apologise to those who have contacted me for not getting back to them. I suffered an injury and was booked for an operation on my foot which would have stopped me from any work until mid-November.

Thankfully this surgery was cancelled this morning and we’re now able to take bookings for lawn renovations for October and November.
Some may become available for late September but this is dependent on soil temperature.

If you would like your lawn cored/aerated, we will be taking bookings for these to begin on September 9.

What a Friday 😂😂

Bit of late night DIY after franken scarry spat a pin and didn’t want to play.
Luckily wasn’t far home and shoot home to grab the 18 inch toy.
Neighbor’s must love me had to test machine out once fixed the 10c part.
Thanks to MowMaster Turf Equipment for the late Friday support and Premium Turf Care Solutions for having all the little parts in hand I didn’t have until now.

This truck has to be one of our key pieces of equipment. Could not get though the volume of works we do with out it. From just waste to getting full Reno’s done same day being able to keep the waste and top dress separate. We would have easily pulled 15m3 of waste this week already

Had to go pick up the little bill goat and these 2 decided it was a good idea to hitch a ride home

Another bit of testing we did this week.

First pic was a small full reno so used the core scoop to clean up. Final cut with cylinder then core before top dress. Left the core holes nice and open ready to be filled.

Pic 3-5 rubbed in cores with the level lawn as they where purely sand after a Vertimow. Nice and smooth now and eliminated the need for a top dress as lawn was already above the desired level.

Last pic an innocent bit off buff on the edge that copped a full scarify. My bets are it will come back easily 😂😂

Franken scarry didn’t even flutter through this tree root today making 2 passes. Only found it after whipping off the edges 😂😂

TOP DRESSING

As everyone knows, top dressing plays a big part of lawn renovation at times. When it is done after coring, it adds nutrients deeper into the soil profile which obviously helps root development. It is also great for levelling and getting a beautiful smooth lawn.

In the interests of continuing to learn, last season we had a customer willing to allow us to try out the 3 main organic blend top dress products available in Perth

Mulches and Lawn Blend.
70% sand / 30% compost.
This is our go to top dress blend for 95% of our top dressing works.

Greenlife Soils
50% sand / 50% compost.

Swan Valley Landscape Supplies.
60% / 40% compost.

We returned to site 2 weeks after the vertimowing works to complete the top dress on the 12th November. The pics below are date stamped from the 12th - 18th November with 3 pics showing the finish of the 3 blends from January.

Our observations are below.
The Green Life Soils blend popped through the top dress the quickest.

The Swan Valley Landscaping blend was the most refined compost.

The Mulches and More Blend stood up amazingly being nearly half the cost of the other products.

After the first mow 6 days after application there was no blend that stood out form the other.

All 3 sections of lawns had the same treatments at time of renovation and ongoing care from the home owner.
