According to the latest data from REIWA, houses sold in a median of 14 days in May, while units sold in a median of 13 days. This compares to nine days for houses and eight days for units in February.
Homes taking nearly twice as long to sell REIWA President Suzanne Brown said the Perth property market had eased over the past two months.

Perth rental market update
A new REIWA report highlights just how much variation there is across Perth’s rental market, with some suburbs still sitting as much as $190 per week below the median rent.
Mandurah leads the way as the most affordable, with a median house rent of $540 per week — compared to Greater Perth’s median of around $730.
What’s interesting is that affordability isn’t just about the “cheapest suburbs” — even within the same suburb, half of all properties will lease below the median depending on size, condition and features.
It’s a timely reminder that while headlines often focus on pressure in the market, there are still pockets of value for tenants across the metro area.
