Local business shout out!
I love Revere Pilates Studio - so much so that here I am in Revere's photos! I met owner Darcey when I started Pilates to rehab a dislocated knee 18 months ago. I expected sore muscles, but what I didn't expect was the wonderful community that Darcey and the team cultivate here, and the friendships that I've made. Darcey gives 100% to Revere, from classes and training future instructors, to literally laying the floors and painting the ceilings. Revere has just relocated above Crow Books, and I applaud the smart use of vacant or underutilised spaces by independent small businesses on the strip. I'd love to see more of it, and I'd love to talk to business owners how I can support your ambitions. Drop me a message!

Rewriting the narrative. At Revere Pilates Studio, we practice what we preach and let our voice *scream* that Pilates is for every body, every goal, every journey—no room for toxic stereotypes here. Move to feel good, not to fit a mould.

Here’s Tim - having the best time ever in his fave class, Revere the Arc ‼️

BIG CAT NEWS!

The WA Government has finally agreed to amend the state cat laws, giving local governments the ability to keep our fluffy friends and our local wildlife safe!

This is Sansa (left) and Spencer (Right) and they are two very well loved indoor cats. The first thing we did when we bought our house was to build them a cat-run down the side so they could enjoy sunbeams and fresh air, without putting our local birds and marsupials in danger.

If elected, I will push for stronger protections for our pets, and community grants building cat runs (including temporary structures for renters!)

Growing our canopy and protecting our green spaces has always been my passion. From the humble native verges we plant in front of our homes, to the incredible urban forests like Jirdarup, I will always push to keep the Town of Victoria Park green, safe, and sustainable 💚

To thrive, wildlife from Jirdarup needs green space across Vic Park and South Perth.

With local elections coming up, it is heartening to see so many candidates around Jirdarup making commitments to support the environment and expand our green spaces. We have read their statements and some have sent extra information to help us put together a list of commitments.

If you don't know who to vote for, read what the candidates said and VOTE TO STRETCH OUR WINGS

One thing I have always been very proud of as a resident and a homeowner in Town of Victoria Park is the fact that our town is an official Refugee Welcome Zone, something that continues to add value to our community whilst helping those who have made the difficult decision to come here as refugees.

As someone who regularly attends council meetings, I recently asked the council whether it was intending on putting in the work to maintain our status, and what kinds of opportunities they are bringing to the town in this space. Along with an incredible event hosted by Ashiana Humanitarian Network earlier in the year, the Victoria Park Community Centre regularly hosts events like the one below! I strongly recommend you give it a look :)

Why is it important that we maintain our Refugee Welcome Zone?
- Refugees grow the economy by nearly $5 billion per year (GDP)
- Refugees power our workforce!
- Refugees bring diversity and vibrancy to our community!

As your councillor I will continue to support and welcome refugees and their families and help them to integrate into our wonderful town.

Lovely day for some campaigning! 😅🌧️

Had some incredible chats with members of our community, got quite wet, but finished up with a warming kaya toast at Tea Garden 古文茶 on the strip.

Thankyou to everyone who kindly offered up some of their fences and verges today 🥰

Thrilled to be a candidate in this upcoming election!
I have lived, worked, and studied in the Town of Victoria Park for 20 years. In that time I have been a renter in almost every suburb of the town, and I am now a proud homeowner in East Victoria Park. We have such an incredible community here and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
As a scientist and educator, I have a strong background in tackling difficult problems and breaking them down so we can all understand and solve them, and this is exactly what I plan to bring to council.
I hope that together we can work to keep Vic Park the safe, sustainable, green town that we all know and love.
