What an inspiring afternoon launching our new women’s initiative She Inspires under Inspire Pakistan.

We kicked things off with a Women’s Leadership Panel where incredible women shared their journeys of leadership and resilience:

- Dr Casty Nyaga Hughes: President of the Organisation of African Communities in WA (OACWA).
- Dr Nadia: General Practitioner & Fellow at Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
- Fatima Faqiri: Deputy Secretary of the Federation of Hazara Council of Australia.

We also heard a few heartfelt words from Zaneeta Mascarenas, Member for Swan.

It was amazing to see women leading in their fields and encouraging others to take bold steps on their own journeys. She Inspires is here to involve and uplift more women in our community, especially Pakistani women, and we cannot wait to see what comes next.

Today we were privileged to be invited to Parliament House by David Scaife MLA. Our Inspire Pakistan executive team had the chance to sit down together, share our community’s priorities, and express our views on recent developments in public conversation.

We talked about supporting international students, advocating for their wellbeing, and celebrating multiculturalism in Australia. It was inspiring to see genuine interest in inclusive dialogue and policies that make a difference in everyday lives.

A big thank you to David and his team for welcoming us and valuing the voices of our community.

Meet Our New Powerhouses at Inspire Pakistan

We are thrilled to officially welcome two dynamic women to our Committee of Management:
Zayneb Kasbati – Vice President, Marketing
Abia Falak- Social Media Coordinator

Zayneb is a passionate advocate for identity, representation, and inclusion. A proud Australian Pakistani Muslim woman, she brings a wealth of experience in communications and purpose-driven marketing, having worked with TEDxPerth and now Inspire Pakistan. Her storytelling, calm leadership, and vision to uplift others especially young Pakistani and Muslim women are already making an impact.

Abia Falak - Social Media Coordinator

Abia is a civil engineer and a community leader with a heart for public service. As an Electorate Officer in the Federal Parliament, her work supports grassroots empowerment and civic participation. She is a voice for multiculturalism and women in leadership determined to break barriers and build a stronger, more connected Pakistani - Australian community.

Together, Zayneb and Abia reflect the future of our community bold, thoughtful, and driven by purpose.

This winter is harsh. While many of us take shelter in warm homes, hundreds are sleeping rough in the freezing cold soaked, sick, and forgotten.

Over 500 people are supported weekly by PERTH HOMELESS SUPPORT GROUP Inc . Now they need our help more than ever.

Inspire Pakistan is launching a Winter Relief Drive to collect essential items for those doing it tough on the streets.

What’s needed most:
• New socks & underwear (men/women/all sizes)
• Blankets & sleeping bags (dark colours)
• Good condition sneakers
• Baked beans/spaghetti (ring pull cans)
• Wet wipes, tissues, toothpaste
• Coffee, cup noodles, cuppa soups
• Snacks (muesli bars, chips)
