Trying out some new recipes for perfume and aftershave today, some take up to 6 weeks to mature, hope they turn out as good as the last batch 😁

I’m spending less time in my sewing room now and finding it hard to get my mojo back, good thing I still have grandkids that love to sew, they get me in there and keep me going. I’ve been making soaps for years but last year I started making shampoo bars which I love and have been using ever since, this year I’ve been making eyelash serum, nail serum, hair serum and perfumes (never buying perfume again😉). I love making personalised gifts and can’t believe some of the results, amazing what a little research does. Using essential oils the perfume and perfumed oils smell amazing, having a go at making some aftershave for the boys later in the month when all my ingredients arrive, can’t wait, other than the time it takes to mature it’s quite a quick process once you’ve worked out the ingredients. I realise it’s the creative process that gives me joy and is my happy place no matter what the project, what gives you joy? I’d love to know 😁

Working on a few passion projects that I can’t wait to show you

Starting off with 2 x 10” squares
1. Stitch right sides together around all edges
2. Make 2 cuts corn to corner then press open
3. Twist two opposite around and stitch together
4. Make cuts and twist pieces to make final block
I’m happy with how it turned out, the start of my next quit

Binding all done, now onto the next project

First king size quilt for the year. A bit of a challenge this one quilting and joining all the squares, so much weight to move around 😖 love how it turned out 🥰 just the binding to do
