We recognise that behaviours such as biting and physical play are a normal part of early childhood development. As children learn to communicate, manage emotions, and build relationships, they sometimes need extra support and guidance to navigate these experiences safely.
Here’s how we support them each day:
✨ Introduced a “gentle hands” song.
✨ Having regular conversations about what we can and can’t use our hands for
✨ Using consistent language like “gentle hands” throughout the day.
✨ Supporting children through conflicts by listening to everyone involved and helping them understand each other’s feelings.
✨ Encouraging children to resolve situations together—whether that’s saying sorry or helping a friend up.
✨ Calming space where children can go to regulate their emotions or enjoy some quiet time when needed.
✨ Partnerships with Families: Your support at home is so important. Continuing these conversations and strategies help children build consistency and confidence.

🌟 Where Wellbeing Meets Learning 🌟
At our centre, we believe the little moments build big skills. Our Toddler 2 children were encouraged to take an active role in setting up their own beds—fostering independence, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Aligned with EYLF Outcome 3.2, we nurture each child’s ability to care for their own health and physical wellbeing through meaningful, everyday routines. By supporting children to manage their own rest spaces, we empower them to feel capable, secure, and proud of their achievements. 🛏️
Our caring educators create a supportive environment where every child is guided, encouraged, and celebrated as they grow into confident, independent learners.
✨ Join a community that nurtures wellbeing, builds life skills, and supports your child every step of the way. ✨
✨🥶 Squigz Ice Painting Fun! 🥶✨
Extending on last week’s S.T.E.M chalk drawing experience, today our friends explored ice painting using frozen Squigz and coloured water! Using the Squigz as handles, children created beautiful artworks while investigating how ice feels and how it melts.
This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, problem-solving and experimentation, supporting EYLF Outcome 4.2 – children develop a range of skills such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.
Our friends also built on their colour recognition, language and social skills, working alongside peers, sharing ideas and engaging in meaningful conversations. ✨
What a fun and engaging way to combine creativity, science and sensory play! 🎨❄️
Happy National Best Friends Day! 💛
On Monday 8th June was national best friends day! Our nursery children celebrated the joy of friendship in the sweetest ways. From sharing toys and taking turns, to dancing together and enjoying lots of playful moments, the children showed us just how special being a good friend can be. 🌈
It’s wonderful to see these bonds growing through kindness, laughter, and teamwork every day!
In extension on reconcilliation week the Kindy children explored the Aboriginal Dreaming story of the Rainbow Serpent and learned how it shaped the land by creating mountains, valleys, and rivers. Through this meaningful story, we discussed the importance of caring for our environment and respecting the land around us. 🌈🐍🌿
During Reconciliation Week (27th May to 3rd June 2026), our centre embraced this year's theme, "All In", by coming together to learn, reflect, and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Through meaningful discussions, creative activities, storytelling, and displays throughout our centre, we encouraged children, families, and educators to be "All In" on the journey of reconciliation. Together, we are building understanding, respect, and stronger connections for a more inclusive future.
