Each day the sun rises and sets ~ well, as we know that is just our perception of what the sun is doing π§
Another way of describing it is ~ we inhibit a human form whilst residing on a spinning landmass surrounded by water that is hovering in space and we rotate around a fireball π€£
Sometimes the experience of life is so overwhelming, confusing, unbelievable and down right hard π³
And yet, the sun is there in the morning, the birds sing, plants grow, the tide ebbs and flows, the seasons change and life continues to evolve π«
For me, nature has this way of reminding me that everything is ok ππ»
To feel the wind, smell the grass, hear the birds singing and crickets chirping ~ reminds me to breathe and trust π
Within the constant change there is consistency ~ within the uncertainty there is certainty β―οΈ
Not always easy to remember ~ but I just have to look to nature for an everyday reminder π²
π· I took this photo in a rose garden park while waiting for my 20yr old. He was seeing his physio after major hip surgery 2 weeks ago - love him so much and admire his fortitude and inner strength ππ€

Evolve Celebration π
These ladies (and many others that couldnβt make it so not in the pic) are the reason I get to do what I love π
Thank you to all my clients for showing up to sessions and sharing my passion for healthy living in the form of movement, mobility, strength and flow ππ»
Thank you for being in class, thanks for your 1:1 sessions, thanks for sharing your stories, thanks for listening to my experiences π
Thanks for all the knowledge we share as women, mums, sisters, wives, partners, aunties, grandmothers, humans making our way through life πΈ
And not to mention all our acquired trivia knowledge and solving of world problems during classes and our coffee catch-upsπ€ͺ
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the best job ever π₯³
I have worked hard and been blessed to run my health and fitness business over the past 6 years ππ»
I would like to thank for the 4 year mentorship and studio space at be free. At a time when I was so unhappy and struggling in my life, JP helped me to believe in myself and venture forth in my business π
Thanks to for a year of studio space, equipment and comradeship at our Kirkby St setup, as well as 6 months of use of the Powerplates and equipment in my home studio π
Thanks to all my family for listening to my hardships, sharing in my happiness, brainstorming ideas and always reminding me that I am doing well and to keep going π
And a big thank you to my partner for the love of healthy living, weight training, mobility drills, talking shop, encouraging me to step up and share with the world, holding me when my anxiety gets out of control and celebrating with me when I have succeeded β€οΈ
Evolve I have and Evolve I will continue to do π«

Day 8
Hmmmm seems to be more to this yoga thing than just poses/asanas π€
I started my yoga journey when I was 21 and I have loved the physical changes in my body ~ more flexibility, greater range of motion and more grace and flow π§π»ββοΈ
I started this current daily practice/habit forming process to bring more physical yoga practice into my life (or so I thought π€ͺ) but what I am experiencing is a greater connection and communication with myself π
I am noticing my resistance, self analysing my process, learning more about myself and what I think, feel and do ππ»
Yoga means Union π§π»ββοΈ
Union with life - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual ππ»
And today I am enjoying the journey and I have relinquished the destination ππ»
My dear friend wrote to me β¦β¦
βthink of your yoga practice as "What will bring me into balance and connection today, in this moment?" rather than as a series of physical postures to do . . . what we need each day might be physical postures, or it might be rest, meditation, breathing, or sometimes the full spreadβ - such wisdom β¨
Day 8 - evening restorative yoga with who encourages me everyday to continue with my practice and gets on the mat to complete his own practice π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈ

Day 6 and Day 7
Well this daily yoga practice is tougher than I expected π©
It seems that my mind and body have heard that I want them to do more and the resistance is huge π€
So today I took the pressure off and the βrulesβ are that I just do some yoga every day ππ»
The yoga doesnβt have to be perfect with incense, dim lighting and atmosphere - it just needs to be done π§π»ββοΈ
A few poses, meditation, centred breathing, mindful movement π
So Day 6 was Yoga Nidra and Day 7 was some of my favourite postures including 3 leg downward dog with hip opening (Tri Pada Adho Mukha) ππ»
Only 7 days in π but Iβm determined to complete the 21 day habit forming practice which I am hoping gets easier and more enjoyable π€π»
Iβm intrigued to see how I go π€ππ

DAY 4 and 5 Daily Yoga Practice
Well daily yoga practice is more challenging than I anticipated π
Day 4 - became Yoga Nidra as the day came to an end and my partner and I were so exhausted that the thought of an asana practice was just too much at the end of the day π₯
Absolutely loved the Yoga Nidra that we followed along with on the π₯°
Day 5 was a morning follow along flow practice that I was very resistant too. My body felt heavy, my mind kept complaining π€ but we made it through and completed the flow practise with a few childβs pose when it was a little too much ππ»
I chose not to document the weekend practices as I want this process to be for me and my practice - not as some social media promotion ππ» so this is not professional, not camera friendly, not filtered and made to βdraw in the audienceβ - IT IS FOR ME π§π»ββοΈ
Yoga ~ Union ~ Self π
Some days I may consistent film and post my practices and others days I may not - I aim to be consistent and hope to build my daily yoga practice into a life practice π€π»

DAY 2
Yin Yoga evening practise π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈ
Chose a gentle practise at the end of today π
Loved the long holds ππ»
Exploring how my joints felt and breathing through the lengthening of my muscles π
Namaste ππ»
There has been lots of dreaming, inspiration, creativity, out of the box thinking, happening of lateπ₯
And Iβm happy to say also ACTION to make dreams become a reality ππ»
Today is the start of taking action on one of the βdreamsβ π«
DAILY YOGA PRACTISE ππ»
Thanks to my loving partner, training coach, training bro, yoga buddy, muse and everything in between and beyond β€οΈ proposing that we prioritise a daily yoga practise π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈ
Here is just a small snippet of my 45 minute practise I filmed today (including the sweaty palm wipe π)
And my intention is to use this platform as my accountability process - so watch out for daily updates over the month of October ππ»
My aim is to be consistent and fulfil 21 days of daily yoga practise throughout October, to form loving habit that just becomes a part of my life π€π»
We have all heard of the βit takes 21 days to form a habitβ.
βThe rule is simple enough. Commit to a goal for 21 straight days. After three weeks, the pursuit of that goal should have become a habit. Once you've established that habit, you continue to do it for another ninety daysβ
So here is Day 1 and Iβm excited to see where we flow to π§π»ββοΈ

I have practised yoga since I was 21 years old π©π»βπ¦±
I have so much more to learn and explore with yoga. And I am definitely still a student π©π»βπ
But I feel proud that I have completed my yoga teacher training course π§π»ββοΈ
And I am now excitedly completing a Yin Yoga course ππ»
I love the coming together of movement and breath - best medicine π
